The Human Centipede 2 Gets Banned In Australia!

Just add this country to the list!

Only weeks after its premiere at the Brisbane International Film Festival, The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) has been banned in Australia, as the country's Classification Review Board refused to give it a rating, citing “gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions of violence."

Ros Phillips, a spokeswoman for FamilyVoice Australia, says:

“Pornography based on human torture has no place on Australian screens.”

Regardless of whether or not we think this movie should be banned, we have a feeling movie-goers down under are breathing a sigh of relief!

Seriously - a movie about a man who masturbates with barbed wire to 12 people, naked and stapled together ass-to-mouth, can be released in the United States with minimal to no edits, and yet everyone flips out over NC-17 flicks like Shame, that are actually ABOUT SOMETHING?!

What do U think?? Should The Human Centipede 2 be banned?

I didnt watch the first one not about to watch this one.

  3. 3

Okay, obviously everyone is to afraid to ask this.. Where and when can I watch the second one?

This movie sounds really gross and pretty terrible, but I have an issue with free speech ever being banned, whether or not its offensive. Just because you don't like what someone else has to say or wants to show you, doesn't give you the right to silence them. Its a slippery slope when things like that happen, domino effect ya know

you cant ban anything in this internet age. Sad thing is these dreadful(and they are truly awful) films would slip by unnoticed if not for all this banning nonsense. It just makes people wanna watch it to see what the fuss is about. And anyways its not for somebody to decide what a whole country should watch. Free choice FTW.

If only somebody decided that that the Kardashitans have no place on world screens.

They ban a MOVIE but everyone in the world can see the stupid, famewhoring KARDASHIANS on TV????? I wouldnt want my kids to see that, cos they would just learn its okay to be a whore with no morals whatsoever.

PLUS - let people decide what they wanna see and what not!!! If you dont like that stuff, dont watch! I decided not to watch romantic comedy shit with Jennifer Lopez in it a while ago, cos it would have really really harmed me.

We decided as a country a long time ago that people have the right to free speech, as well as freedom of expression. I don't feel that we should ban this film, or any film.

I have seen both of the movies. The first one was actually pretty good (obviously it was horrible and repulsive, but still interesting)
The second one… fairly insane. Even I was upset at some of the scenes (I won't describe them). It was an interesting premise, but seriously the faint of heart should definitely not watch it. I'm still vaguely haunted by one particular scene (and I'm a horror film addict).
Anyways banning it will only make it more popular and make people go out of their way to find it.

Re: MntDew – it's very easy to find. Just search for it and you should come across it.

I'm not all that surprised that it was banned. I've seen this movie and I could barely sit through it. It's pretty disgusting and super bazaar. I usually don't get grossed out that easy, but this movie was by far the grossest disturbing movie I've ever seen and would recommend no one spend their time watching it.

  13. 13

Of course it should be banned!! It should exist in the first place…whoever taught of making this film is a crazy bastard who should seek psychological help, seriously. This is disgusting.

if you want to see it see it. if you dont dont. nobody is forcing anybody into the theater!

Re: Limona03 – Dont watch it if you dont like it ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!!

Who watches these kinds of movies - and *like* them? And even more important, who makes them? It's disturbing on so many levels.
