Bummer! Roger Ebert's Show Going On Hiatus

roger ebert show going on hiatus

We were really hoping they'd be able to work this out.

Last month, we were sad to learn that Roger Ebert's newest show Ebert Presents At The Movies was most likely on it's way out due to lack of funding.

As we mentioned before, Roger and his wife had been footing the bill for the show themselves, but they've realized that they can no longer afford to do so.

Now, we've learned that Roger's show will go on hiatus at the end of the month, in an effort to "allow the public television stations that carry the show to plan their programs for the beginning of the new year."

This is certainly not a good sign, but at least all isn't lost…yet.

What do U think? Will U miss Roger Ebert's show while it's on hiatus???

um.. when was it on and where does it air?

Bummer? Ebert and that lady who had her face ripped off by the chimp should make a show called "Ebert Presents Two Faces We Don't Want to Stare at For a Half-hour".

Also, Perez, why are comments off on the above Syracuse article about the wife having an affair with the victim? You don't want people to call you out that every other news (unfortunately that means I am lumping you into the category of "news") agency reported that story at the end of last week?

Hey, heres a real unique idea
Put together a program that people want to watch, than ou will be having sponsors fighting to get a piece of the show

Sad to hear - really liked the original Ebert and Roepert and always thought he was a good critic. Often agreed with his opinion.

Been watching Ebert since the beginning with Siskel. I personally will miss this show because it's a great way to learn what's new, what's good, what to avoid, etc etc when it comes to films. BRING THEM BACK PBS!!!

Sad. Roger Ebert is the definitive voice of movie reviews. I will miss this latest reincarnation of At the Movies.
