Gayle King Calls Wendy Williams A Liar!

Gayle King calls Wendy a liar

Gayle King wants you to know that she had Oprah Winfrey's full blessing to ditch her show on OWN in favor of a hosting gig on CBS' The Early Show.

On top of that, she also wants you to know that Wendy Williams is a liar!

On Friday's episode of The Wendy Williams show, the talk show host read a letter allegedly written by Oprah that addresses rumors of a falling out between the two BFF's, reading:

“I know there’s been some speculation that Gayle and Oprah had a falling out because Gayle will be hosting the new morning show on CBS. I wanted to make sure everyone knows that there is only happiness for Gayle and this wonderful opportunity.

Love,

Oprah.

P.S. Stay black!"

The letter not only reveals that the Big O refers to herself in the third-person and Wendy Williams may be in danger of suddenly changing races, but more importantly, Oprah has no animosity toward Gayle.

We say, "Yay!" Hosting The Early Show was a great opportunity for Gayle and we're glad she took it.

During an appearance on a radio show Friday morning, Gayle threw her own two cents into the ring to address the nasty rumors AND the letter Williams read on her show, saying:

"The letter that I heard Wendy read - I didn't see it - I know Oprah never wrote a letter to Wendy. I said [to Winfrey] 'I'm getting all these messages that you wrote a letter to Wendy,' and she goes, 'Gayle, you know more than anybody knows that that's not true,' number one. Number two, when Wendy was saying, 'You know, I think it's gonna put a dent in their friendship?' When this opportunity was presented to me - and make no mistake; it is an opportunity - the first people I talked to were Oprah, my son and my daughter. And I said, 'I don't know; I don't know. They approached me, but I don't even know if I should entertain it,' … [Winfrey} said, 'Are you kidding? This is so what you do, the news is what you love … you would be crazy to pass it up!'"

If we're reading that correctly, it looks like Gayle and Oprah are as tight as could be, while Wendy is spending her free time writing Oprah fan fiction.

Considering how long Gayle has been friends with Oprah, we totally believe her story, but are completely baffled as to why Wendy would write a fake letter.

Maybe this is all just one big understanding. Or maybe…Oprah is the liar!

What's going on here!? Quick! Someone run that letter for fingerprints! We want the truth! LOLz!

Do U think Wendy Williams would write a fake letter from Oprah?

Gayle can't even find a fake "STRAIGHT" date for $500,000 of Okra's money…..SKANK!

I love Wendy "How'u duin'?", I don't think she'd lie about a letter. She knows enough not to mess with big O. Gayle is just defending herself from rumors. Gayle and Oprah are besties and I don't think it another network would ruin that.

    I guess Wendy got punked

I kind of like Wendy. Gayle is nothing more that O's no-talent puss*y.

Wendy is too trashy for me, she has her crowd but it isnt' me. I give Gayle 2 thumbs up. Intelligent lady.

    Ground work is being laid,
Since Gayle was able to get out of her contract with OWN
Now they will say that Fat Ass Rosie wants out, and since they let Gayle go, so they now must also let Rosie go
How else to dump Rosie and not look like they had made a really bad choice in the first place

    "P.S. Stay Black!"
    ??

To me, that's the red flag. Would Oprah really put that IN WRITING? It doesn't seem her style or much make any sense in context to the purpose of the "letter".

The "PS: Stay Black!" was an ad lib Wendy tacked on at the end of the letter AS A JOKE. A very funny one if you guys actually watched the show. She was referencing an Alec Baldwin story she talked about earlier in Hot Topics that day…he was being followed by paparazzi in NYC and someone in the crowd shouted, "Stay Black!" Wendy was just poking fun at the ridiculousness of the phrase.

Re: gcfactor – Well, that would make MUCH more sense. And rather add to the fact that the entire letter was a fake and perhaps a Wendy Williams joke. I'd have to see the clip because, really, the whole thing is stupid. And I doubt that Oprah is writing anything to Williams OR that Williams would ever expect an explanation in writing.

Why was this a story for the scandal sheets again? lol

The Big O did not write that letter. The dead give away was the ending "Stay Black"! Oprah would not be so tacky…that is a Wendy messey thing…

Perhaps Wendy was punked, because she was quite happy about the letter. She even said she had the original framed in her office while reading from a copy.

And yes the "stay black" was an ad lib from a previous story.

I think if the letter was fake they would have written it from Oprah herself, not one of her people referring to Oprah in the 3rd person. IMO
