Apparently We Need A Starship Troopers Reboot…

Come on, Hollywood! We seriously can't find ANOTHER excuse to invade some OTHER planet with OTHER aliens?!?!?!
Sony Pictures' producer Neil Moritz has decided to reboot Paul Verhoeven's 1997 super-violent sci-fi flick Starship Troopers, and he's bringing on X-Men: First Class writers Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz to write it.
Okay, we liked First Class, but still! Troopers is kind of a classic, and we can't imagine a version of the movie film without Neil Patrick Harris in it!
Yes, for those of U who haven't seen it, NPH was in the original!
Oh, and the '97 version also featured Denise Richards and Beverly Hills, 90210's Dina Meyer…and Casper Van Dien! Remember him???
Yeah, we're pret-ty skeptical about this one…but MAYBE we'll be pleasantly surprised…
What do U think? Is it time for more Starship Troopers???

IF they would even partially follow the Heinlein book it would be good. Orig movie used the name, and a few charactures names, but the story was emasculated. Heinlein wrote a good book, they fucked it up. IMNSHO
I totally agree - the Robert Heinlein book was so terrific and I normally do not read science fiction. Isn't this the one that has the inserts of "Diary of Lazarus Long"? That was so terrific and I just loved it. My late husband got me to read Heinlein.
