Ticketmaster Refunding Processing Fees For Orders Dating Back To 1999!!!!!!!

ticketmaster refunding processing fees

Habitual concert-goers, rejoice! U are about to make some $$$!!!!

As a result of a proposed class-action settlement, Ticketmaster is being forced to refund $1.50 per ticket order for up to 17 orders per customer due to the fact that the company did not disclose the fact that they were profiting from "processing fees."

This deal will apply to orders placed between Oct. 21, 1999 and Oct. 19, 2011, and refunds will be issued 30 days after the settlement's final approval, which is currently scheduled for May 29, 2012.

And no, in case U were wondering, this does NOT mean that Ticketmaster will do away with processing fees…they'll just have to disclose the fact that they're profiting from them.

On a more positive note, Ticketmaster has announced that if less than $11.25 million is redeemed by customers over the four year period in which they can receive refunds, they'll donate the remainder of the money to charity.

Will U collect UR refund from Ticketmaster? Or will U pass so that the money can possibly go to a charitable cause???

No single person can collect more than 25.50 in this class action lawsuit. They're refunding people $1.50 per ticket you've purchased going back to 1999, up to 17 tickets. I've spent thousands of dollars on Ticketmaster since 1999, hundreds of it in fees. I don't think getting $25 bucks back (which only covers the fees for 2 tickets) deserves 7 exclamation points. This is a pathetic payout - they're not refunding fees, they're giving people back about 10 percent of what they paid, up to 17 times. You're out of luck if you bought 100 tickets and paid $15 in fees per ticket.

You've got the story a bit wrong. . . . So here is the situation . . . . we, the buyers get from $1.50 to $25.50. The SCUMBAG LAWYERS who only brought this case so that could could SCREWW the ticket purchasers and Ticketmaster will get up to $16,500,000. YES the LAWYERS get OVER 16 MILLION DOLLARS. Ticket BUYER $1.50. Also Ticketmaster but payout OR donate $11,250,000 PER year fro 4 years. Total of $45,000,000. Next tiem spend a bit more time and get the story right.

Re: Novel1 – Comments are off because it is on another one of Perez's sights (ever notice the little logos on some the stories posted). Some stories are featured so that you can read about it with going off of the main sight. You CAN comment on the story by clicking the story link. Many sites do this.

Perez, read into it more. There aren't any refunds being given, people will get $1.50 off of future transactions (up to 17 transactions).

Re: Novel1 – I see your point. It is a bit tedious, but not that big of a deal.
