Castro's regime in Cuba has just launched a Facebook clone called Red Social, which is described as "a virtual meeting point for Cuban universities."
Here's what Carlos Alberto Perez Benitez had to say about it on the blog entitled La Chiringa de Cuba:
"It appears to be a Ministry of Education-sponsored idea."
"If this will work or not, it remains to be seen. In any case, I invite you to create your own personal account in this new space that will surely make a difference among the few and poor options we currently have in our national network."
Interesting. We'd be curious to check it out ourselves, but it can't be accessed from the United States. Ah well!
