But we think you all knew that and have come to terms with it.
It's been pretty much confirmed by Showtime president David Nevins that these upcoming two seasons of Dexter, which were just announced, will most "likely" be the series last.
"There’s things that are going to happen [this season] that will set up a very clear endgame that will take two seasons to tell. Things could take a turn creatively where they come to us and say they need more time."
Wait? So this isn't the end? Or are you just hedging your bets in case they do something so spectacular in the next two years that you feel like you have to renew it again.
Personally, if there is an end goal in sight and it will be satisfying for the fans, we say let the show end. You know what they say about all good things…
