Listen To This: A Surprising Release

| Filed under: Listen To This

Dia Frampton was a contestant on The Voice this past season.

We didn't watch The Voice, and we're kinda glad we found this song in its own. Through its own merits.

Frampton has just released her solo debut single and we love it!

It also feels especially poignant today!

Dia and her song The Broken Ones remind us of 3 of our favorites, Lissie, Meiko and Christina Perri.

Sweet, melodic, singer/songwriter, pop, alternative - all rolled into one!

It's a real special song! And so is she!

Check it out above!

your happy you found it on your own? the voice is no different than x factor and all those other star finder shows your promote.

  3. 3

I even liked it and I don't like anything

I am convinced you are now on Fox's payroll. You watch Idol and X Factor but you didn't watch "The Voice"? It was only the most buzzed about show of this year? How did you not see The Voice if you are an avid talent show viewer?
I hate Dia's personality on The Voice but she is good here.

I have loved Dia ever since she was with her sister in Meg and Dia. I'm just really glad she's making music again since they got dropped.

you didnt watch the voice? you posted videos weekely saying how much you liked certain people.

Re: Ryze – Meg and dia are still making additional music still though. So happy too, people who don't listen to her in that band are missing out for sure.

Translation: The producers of the voice didn't pay me and send over a Zac Efron body double to lick my balls so I never got around to watching it.

    I really like this song.

So beautiful :) I absolutely love Dia. I was rooting for her to win; she had so much amazing talent, and was definitely the most original on that show. I hope this does well!

I love how you watch "X-factor" and American Idol, but not the Voice? That makes no sense. I guess you don't watch if they don't put an "ad" on your page. The voice is so much better then IDOL and X-factor.

It's annoying how she already had a following, for the past 6 years or so, and still went on this show. Way to not give someone else a chance.

STOP LYING FAT BOY… YOU POSTED ABOUT THE VOICE WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT, THE CELEB JUDGES, AND THE FINAL PERFORMANCES, ETC. YOUR LIES ARE SO EASILY CALLED OUT. DONT EVER BE A WITNESS EXCEPT TO YOUR OWN MOCKERY. WHAT A DOUCHE BAG LIAR… NEXT.

We didn't watch the voice? Perez don't ever include me with your dumbass, I watched every episode of The Voice I never watched American or X factor with that Talentless Nicole girls so don't put words into my mouth just because you have this hate for Christina. What happened did she steal your psyco whore friend gaga from you? or are you mad caca's 15 minutes are almost up because YOU have turned everyone aginst her? great job.

Re: mamaboots – A decent amount of the contestants already had a history in the music business. These reality music shows don't really regulate for undiscovered acts; it is rather annoying.

I looooved Meg & Dia!! Saw them live back in 08! I didnt watch the voice but now I wish I had tuned in to see her!

I was definitely under the impression that Perez watched The Voice. If he didn't, though, I can't say that I'm shocked. It would probably be very awkward to see Christina that much after he spent several months trying to ruin her life in 2010 (plus a few jabs thrown her way in 2008). I have to say that while I'm not a huge fan of the show, it is certainly the only singing reality show that I will watch. I wish they would show more of the work and coaching that goes into the performances, but I guess that's not what NBC thinks the viewers want to see. It's just a good thing that there is a very strong sense of an environment that incorporates music education on that show. Dia isn't my cup of tea, but I think she seems like a great person. I hope her career in music lasts for as long as she wants.
