Not Looking Good! Pan Am Ratings Are Down

| Filed under: TV NewsBusiness Blitz

pan am ratings are down

We hate to say it, but we are NOT optimistic that this show will be coming back for a second season.

Last week, we heard that ABC cancelled Pan Am…but then the network released a statement saying that the show was "still in contention for next season."

Unfortunately, ratings for the most recent episode of Pan Am were down 11% from its previous episode, which aired three weeks ago.

We'd recommend that fans of the show cherish the next few episodes, because at this point, we'll be surprised if any more are ordered.

Sorry, Pan Am! Can't win 'em all!

What do U think? Is there any chance that Pan Am will return for season two???

ABC really needs to get their sunday evening programming under control. They did the same shit last year with Desperate Housewives - they would show an episode and then take 2 or 3 weeks off. They are doing it again this season. Last episode was 3 weeks ago. They aired a new one last night and will not be back on the air again until Jan 8th. People lose interest. PanAm is a great show.

Re: !hateperez – Totally agree, if the show is doomed it is abc's fault.

Guys, it's already been cancelled. You're late with this.

  4. 4

I had read elsewhere a week or so ago that its already been cancelled.

I agree with the first comment. I also think that a lack of promotion for this wonderful show is to blame.

Abc said it was a rumor they are not cancelled, maybe wishful thinking.

Ah, crap everytime a good show comes along ABC cancels. Give the show a chance! Besides one of the girls shot someone for her country. Shizzle!

I'd say its because of Ashley Greene. She ruins everything she touches. Also lack of promotion.

ummm, i thought it was announced last week that it was cancelled!

i HATE ABC!!! They cancel just about every new show they air. They don't even give it a chance. I'll never forget them for cancelling Pushing Daisies AND cancelling all the soaps!! ABC can burn in hell for all I care.

That's too bad if it does get cancelled cuz I really like that show

I really like this show. The problem was the time slot. i'm in BC and it starts at 10pm. I am so sure if they bumped it down to 9pm it would still be going strong. Sorry to hear :(

It was the time slot for us here out in BC I think. Starts at 10 pm. If pushed back by one hour guaranteed a better result. Great Show! ABC just change the time and give the show the promotion that it deserves!

I've never even heard of this show lol.

A shame as it is genuinely a really good show and also grown up! Not a lot of choice these days if you don't want to watch anything set in a high school or college or similar.. I really liked the change of pace that Pan Am brought… hope it gets a second lease of life.. it's started being shown on UK tv and my parents like it and my 15 year old sister likes it, and its UK premiere was surrounded by Pan American documentaries and other shows about flying, they made a kind of deal around it, and most people Sky+ / Record live TV now, I know that I never watch any TV in the evening as I am busy so I record it and watch it the next afternoon or the next weekend, how can you get accurate viewing figures???
