Amy Winehouse reaches number one on the British charts.

Her father, Mitch Winehouse, tweeted the announcement.

On his Twitter page, Mitch wrote:

Just been told, Amy at number 1. 140,000 sold = £140,000 to foundation in one day. Well done baby.

He also added that his "heart is still sad but bursting with pride."

A day after Amy's Back to Black was passed by Adele's 21 as the highest selling EP in the 2000s, Lioness: Hidden Treasures hit the top weekly spot.

The album features unreleased tracks and covers of the late Amy's songs.

12 songs were chosen out of thousands of hours of Amy's vocal work by her collaborators Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson.

The donation will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation

big deal. everyone is more popular when they are dead. No one in the world wanted anything to do with MJ till he died, now he's the greatest ever. Same with her. And by the way, what the fuck happened to J-Wow's face? How come you don't comment on that. These stupid bitches will never learn that they are horrible looking after getting injected and cut and whatnot. what ajoke.

EP? erm as far as Im aware theyre LPs not EPs. An EP is just a few tracks. But Adeles LP 21 has indeed just passed B2B with 3.4million to Amys 3.3million. This is in UK
