Quote Of The Day

"I cut tobacco for a living in Kentucky. That was hard work. I sold insurance door-to-door. That’s hard work. Acting is not hard work."
George Clooney, on acting, during The Hollywood Reporter's Actor Roundtable.

Nice to hear an actor with a sense of reality. So sick of hearing these actors, models, and musicians talk about how hard they work. Then Perez agrees with them by saying things like how much Jennifer Aniston 'deserves' her umpteenth luxury holiday because she has worked so hard doing another silly romcom.
Don't forget to mention, Selling his ass on a street corner
Georgie boyee…you da Man!
I agree, acting is not hard work….anyone can do it…the proff of that fills the big screens across the world everyday….just look at Scarlett Johansen…broad can't act to save her life, yet she's considered an "actress"… go figure.
Love me some George. He's not afraid to say things that may offend his peers.
Re: hawtmomma – **proof** (oops)
Well said Georgie.
Yep, but do tell that to the self-entitled actors/actresses who think they walk on water. Thank you for being honest I'm quite sure most of them could not do my job. They would not even have a clue where to even start, and I actually serve the public to benefit them.
Re: hawtmomma –
Why don't you head out to Hollywood then and light up the big or small screen?
omg i love him hes so right … i picked asparagus i had a plastic bucket on my back and had to cut each stalk one by one and bend over for each stalk starting at 6am each day for 6 bucs a hr…the whiny actors need to stfu.. george ur still sexiest man alive xxxx
He definately understands the working man and women because, allegedly, his roots trace back to the slave trade in Africa where his great grandfather was brought to America against his will and sold into the slave trade; that explains how he ended-up harvesting tobacco.
Re: piissed on gypsy-perez posse member 777 – Haha…I remember pulling 400+ loaves of bread through a standing slicer and wrapping/twist tieing each one without messing up the loaves; and that was the first hour and a half of a 9 hr. Saturday shift for not much money and sometimes hung over. I was a partying teen.
He's absolutely right on this even though I don't like him. Making millions of dollars from a movie which a tobacco worker who works his ass off to make ends meet couldn't make in his whole life isn't hard work for sure.
Damn right!
Respect for this quote. Acting can sometimes be hard work (depends on the role you are playing and how to sell it to the audience). But when it compares to labor and only making 9$ an hour? that's not only hard work, but it's also a bitch life too.
