Taylor Armstrong Didn't Feel Safe To Tell Her Story While Russell Was Still Alive

| Filed under: Media MinuteInspirationSad SadReal HousewivesBookz

taylor armstrong didnt feel safe with russell alive

Very, very sad.

Earlier this week, Taylor Armstrong opened up about her husband Russell's suicide on Watch What Happens Live, and it was just heartwrenching.

Now, Taylor has opened up about her story further…and she explains why she waited so long to speak up:

"I wish I would have been able to tell my story before now, but, until my husband Russell's suicide, I didn't feel safe to tell anyone for fear of my own safety and the safety of my daughter. (5-year-old Kennedy) With Russell's passing, I now feel safe to bring my story into the light, to help all battered and abused women, and men, and aid them in their struggle."

"I discussed my book Monday night for the first time on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live,. The overwhelming response from viewers and their outpouring of support has been gratifying. From the bottom of my heart, I believe if my book can help others find the courage to deal with the pain and fear of their abusive relationships, I will have made a real difference in their lives."

We are absolutely on board with this, Taylor. As we've said before, thank you for taking the time to spread the word about this important subject.

Honestly, nobody cares about her story!

  2. 2

Always playing the victim… and yet, he is the one who is dead. So sad.

  3. 3

Am I naive for believing her? Everything she says seems to make so much sense to me, but most people think she's full of it. Even all her fake names make sense to me - personality disorders can cause people to take many names. And wouldn't a personality disorder increase her risk of getting into an abusive relationship?

  4. 4

WHAT A LIAR……she told everyone on the show constantly about him…….and he never got to defend himself……

who says she didn't make up half of it to be the victim because she knew she was going to be going to through a divorce and could get custody easier if everyone thought he was a violent person……

everything about this bitch is fake and a lie! way to play the victim, again and again and again and again :(

  7. 7

Agree with Demode. Why is the victim card used so often? Life is great when you are the wife going to all the parties, spending vast sums of money on trips, clothes, and jewelry but the second the husband leaves the wife comes out with a book about how she was a victim of abuse. These women do a great disservice to women/men/and children who really are abused.

    I bet $he does now…GRIFTER.
Kyle, when are going to give back Kim's house…you need to stop bullying people and do the right thing.

  9. 9

Why wasn't she this vocal when her family needed help? I feel like she has been exploiting this horrible tragedy since it happened. Also, airing your dirty laundry and bad mouthing her dead husband to world is only going to hurt her daughter in the long run. She needs to stay at home with her daughter and seek private counseling that isn't aired on a reality show.

They BOTH share the responsibility for their situation. It's just that Taylor chose to hang in there, which her kids will be thankful for.

Bless this woman…I do not envy her for having to make the decision to write this book and talk about the negatives of a person who has passed. SO SAD!

  13. 13

    She's a liar.

  14. 14

For the love of FRAUD - I could not take this seriously if I tried. What she really wants is to cash in and get more money for her botox - seriously who is going to read this crap - agree with other posts "nobody cares".

  15. 15

all the negativity and nasty comments are from evil heartless people. he knew what he did was wrong and offed himself rather than face it or being poor. because being poor is just the end of the world to people like him b/c money is all people like that have.

  16. 16

She told everyone who would listen and then said she was terrified he would leave her? The other women new she she was lying and called her out on it but now that her husband is dead and can't defend himself they aren't going to defend him. This would mean she was telling Bravo she was getting beat up, broken bones and her child was in danger and they did nothing. They knew she was lying.

  17. 17

WTF? Wasn't she the one who was making speeches about how she was abused in her past and how other women can learn from her experience and overcome… while she was WITH Russel… to abused women's shelters etc.? I don't doubt Russel was weird, maybe emotionally and even maybe physically abusive… but it wasn't bad enough to leave the life of luxury and complain UNTIL they were bankrupt.

  18. 18

Re: KatieKatie – yes you are an idiot….do you want people talking shit about you AFTER YOU WERE DEAD……it is disrespectful….she could have moved out of the house if she was sooooo concerned about her daughters safety……

she is a liar….wants attention and money off her book which she was writing BEFORE Russell killed himself.

  19. 19

Re: LadyFrank – she told everyone on the show….she is a liar.

  20. 20

Re: @v@ – she hung in there???? she stayed in the house with her daughter…if he was such a monster she put her daughter in danger….moron!

  21. 21

Re: ilovejames – bless this woman….she is a con-artist…..why would you bless her…..she doesn't even believe in GOD……dumbass.

  22. 22

Re: amandadixon420 – you dumb ass…..Russell can't defend himself….I hope people talk shit about you AFTER YOU ARE DEAD…..you deserve it for being so ignorant……

  23. 23

Re: triple M – Abuse should be talked about. It's the best prevention there is. I don't care if the criminal is dead or not (speaking hypothetically - I have no idea if Russell really did this or not)

  24. 24

Re: tiredofusernames – And by the way - you're language is awfully mean. No surprise you're campaigning to silence victims of abuse.

  25. 25

she's just not trustworthy at all. i dont know how anyboy can believe stuff she says. She's not even stable. And destroying somebodies reputation when theyre dead and unable to answer back is just a very low shot. And for money too!

  26. Sgirl says – reply to this

How is she helping anyone but herself? She did not stand up to this man. He killed himself. He is dead now. She is talking for the money. She ran her mouth to everyone on that show about what was going on at home. She didn't do something heroic. She stayed with a man who beat her and now he is dead. Sad situation. She needs to get counseling and stop profitting off of being a victim. Ladies, do not let a man do this to you. If you choose to stay with a man like this, for gods sake don't have kids with him. Her poor daughter. Now she gets to be drug into all this nonsense even after the fact. Nice mother.

  27. 27

I am not a violent person,
but honestly this woman makes you want to slap the shit out of her

  28. 28

    Shame on Bravo. boooooo

  29. 29

LIAR!!!! I can't wait until Russell's family sues the fake lips off of this bitch! Do the world a favor and just go away.

Re: triple M – I wasn't referring to her staying in the house, but rather to her NOT making a cowardly choice of suicide. Do you name call often to get a point across? Appreciate it.

  31. 31

Of course she was afraid to tell her story. She would have been outed as a liar sooner. Who paid her to put more o her crap b.s. out there?

  32. 32

And her book is aptly titled.

  33. 33

if she was so scared why is the book sub-titled "finding the courage within?"

  34. 34

Was this the same publisher as " A Million Little Pieces" ? Atleast he was a decent author. I know there are abused women and children out there, please get help. So she is crying and throwing fits she is getting beaten and broken bones and she is terrified for her child and Bravo and her lady friends do nothing? They knew she was a liar. She is a sociopath.

  35. 35

Re: LadyFrank – He has 2 other children that are not gaining monetarily from her bashing of this man. She is simply hurting them for attention and financial gain. The other ladies even called her on her lying on Russel but now would not dare and are using their second face since he is dead.

  36. 36

Taylor tells her castmates about Russell's alleged abuse towards her thereby making them liable for anything that happens. If you suspect abuse you are supposed to report it and she swears them to secrecy leaving blame on them for knowing and doing nothing - but how can you do anything if you have witnessed NOTHING with only her word to go by? Thank goodness Camille called her out on it bringing to light Taylor's sick denial of reality. If it's true he struck her, she stayed and oftentimes acted the happy wife to confuse everyone around her…

  37. 37

    LYING CU*T!!!

  38. 38

At the end of many of the epic WWII movies a journalist or chaplain would be standing on the Bridge of an aircraft carrier with the CO watching planes taking off after some hellish battle and would say, "Where do they find men like that?"
Now we watch these Reality shows like the Kardashians and Housewives of…and we ask, "Where do they keep finding these dreggs?" Sheesh…

  39. 39

So much ignorance here. She was in fact abused, Russell did admit to it. Ergo, she does not "play the victim", she *is* the victim. It's disturbing to see how easy the majority will put the blame on the woman, call her a liar and/or hysterical. Easy to believe and forgive the man, it's quite obviously the woman's fault. It's disturbing and frightening to witness such incredible ignorance and stupidity. She might have lied about something else, but this she did not lie about.

Re: @v@ – Suicide is not a cowardly choice. You come across as a sweet person, Ava, but stating this shows ignorance about suicide in general. It has everything to do with context. Hitler taking his own life was cowardly, a teen getting abused for several years taking his own life is not. There are a lot of factors that take part in suicide - a lot.

  41. 41

Re: KatieKatie – No, you're not. And you are right on every point. Wonderful comment.

  42. 42

Im sorry but if shes exploiting his death, who cares? he took his own life selfishly and left her alone to provide for their daughter. So if thats what she has to do to get money, screw him. Its not like he died from cancer or something, he was a coward and took his own life!

Re: Everything popular is wrong. – I've seen a lifetime of the fallout for the wife and children of a suicide (a close relative.) So many people have had to pull the weight of the permanently absent spouse, and the emotional damage snowballs. All he had to do was stay alive and fight. Maybe the word is irresponsible rather than cowardly.
Context explains the why, but it's still a bad decision. I do appreciate your input greatly.
