And now we have our answers!!!
It's still painfully unclear as to what sparked the shooting of Virginia Tech campus police officer Deriek Crouse this week, but the man responsible has finally been identified has 22-year-old Ross Truett Ashley, a Radford University student who lived with his family in Paltrow, VA.
According to State Police investigators, it's unknown if the two men knew each other prior to the tragedy, but they've so far established that Ashley had stolen a 2011 Mercedes SUV at gunpoint 24 hours before he arrived on Virginia Tech campus, shot Crouse as he sat in his patrol car, and then fled, changed his clothes, and killed himself.
Although there's yet to be a solid explanation as to what exactly sparked these unnecessary, tragic, acts of violence, our thoughts go out to those suffering because of it.
