Sad! New Adele Album May Not Come Out For Two Years OR LONGER!!!

| Filed under: Music MinuteSad SadAdele

adele may not release a new album for a while

Guess we shouldn't be TOO surprised, since Adele is still using that Stephen Hawking-like app to speak…

During a recent email interview, Adele opened up about plans for her next album.

Here's what she had to say about it:

"I imagine I’ll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven’t even thought about my third record yet. I’m just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I’ll disappear and come back with a record when it’s good enough. There will be no new music until it’s good enough and until I’m ready."

To give you an idea of how long we might be waiting, Adele will turn 24 in May…so if she waits until 26, that could end up being almost THREE YEARS from now!!!

Maybe she'll feel a bit more ambitious when she fully recovers! We hope so!

What do U think? Could U wait two or three years for more Adele???

She is sick and tired of having a vile pig like you gushing over her. It's bad for her image. So she is hoping you will have faded away by then and no one can associate her with you in any way.

  2. 2

Well that will give her time for inspiration and to let her voice heal completely. Adele is not rihanna or gaga she does not need to put out an album every year/milk an album for all its worth to stay relevant!

Yay…sorry, but her music is now getting on my nerves.

  4. 4

I'm fine with that. She's kind of overplayed.

I think more pop "stars" should take a note from her book, I can't wait to hear with what she comes up with next!

She's Ok. She doesn't light my musical fire, but I don't wish her ill. She's better than Shittney or Katy Smelly.

I think she's being smart. These pop stars that put out an album every year get boring and recycle the same crap. Even one's I like I wish would take 2 or 3 years inbetween album.

Good, maybe we will get lucky since she can write a good song, just not sing them very well that she will just stick to the writing part FOREVER !!!

Good for her! Shows she has some common sense :)

she's actually really funny!! saw an interview and i fell in love!!

Oh, Perez… You are so artistically naive. If Adele put another album out right away, it would be full of hurried, lower-quality songs. True musicians only put out recordings when they are inspired to do so. Because "artists" like Rihanna are simply vessels for producers to use to crank out artificially-sweetened hits, those kinds of people will put out an album every year. There is no need for waiting for inspiration to strike because Rihanna's music, for example, just needs to be catchy, not deep. Since Adele was careful to make sure that 19 and 21 were high-quality, honest albums, people should certainly be able to put them into rotation whenever they find themselves longing for Adele during her time off.

She needs that break. Let her voice heal. In good news though, Katy Perry is taking a break. Thank the Lord, I'm tired of her whiny songs being overplayed…

That is great news. She needs time to get another great cd out and also it gives us time to miss her. She is waaayyyy overexposed right now.

She's a one hit wonder. Lady Gaga is queen of music.

Re: HoneyBadgerGirl – Your so mature!!

she is crazy…time makes people forget, in three years it will be Adele who??

She's not a jukebox , she's an artist and artists don't pop out albums like candy. I really like her, even if her kind of music isn't your cup of tea you have to admit that she has artistic integrity.

Smart move. See, this is why I love Adele. She doesn't need to milk out albums every single year just to stay relevant like other artists that are around today. I feel like artists should take a two to three year break, so they can make a great album, not a rushed one. Maybe artists should take note from her. Besides, she needs the vocal rest anyway. I also love the way she doesn't care too much for her image. Like she said, music should be for the ears, not the eyes.

P.S.- I love her song Set Fire to the Rain. Beautiful. :)

She isn't Rihanna, she does'nt have to release another album quickly.

LOL at the people hating on Rihanna. Rated R was "deep" and it still came out within a year. The Beatles released 12 albums in less than 10 years, yet no one has knocked them. Rihanna is doing what legends did in their time. By the time Adele's next album comes out she'll probably have lost some of her fan base like Leona Lewis did. Make no mistake, she's no Amy Winehouse.

Adele released 19 back in 2008, and she was unknown, seeing that she won best new artist on this website in 2011. All of the once greats have fallen off, look at Beyonce, christina Aguilera, and even Lady GaGa this year. I guarantee almost anyone can remember Rihanna since her debut back in 2005! She has yet to fade and gets bigger every year. Looks like her team is doing something right. It is nearly 7 years later and she's still relevant. I bet half of the bastards knocking her have never listened to any of her albums - yes she sings about sex, but she does have great deep tracks like Fire Bomb, Love the Way You Lie (Part II), and Drunk On Love. I love Adele's music, but her music can get boring because most of her songs sound the same and they are all about guys in her past. Rihanna's music explores different topics and occupy various genres, not just pop (think Disturbia, Umbrella, S&M, Unfaithful, and even Pon de Replay). People don't realize it but she will more than likely be an icon for her music and presence, more so than any other popstar this millenium, especially if Lady GaGa releases another flop like Born This Way.

that's a good thing actually. She's over played right now. She needs to heal and also we need time to miss her as well.
