The 34-year-old explained to Australian radio outlet, 92.9:
Today, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) officially passed the 2010 Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation (CALM) Act which "requires commercials to be kept at the same volume as the programs they're airing around."
Unfortunately, the rule won't go into effect until Dec. 13, 2012…but we'd imagine we'll be hearing fewer and fewer loud commercials as the year goes on!

That is SUCH great news! Now we won't have to put down our waffles and milk to constantly adjust the volume while watching some morning TV! Score!
