This is gonna be good!

George Clooney and his producing partner Grant Heslov are teaming up again to produce a film about the iconic '60s comedians, The Smothers Brothers.

Known for their topical and somewhat controversial humor, Tom and Dicky Smothers brought the laughs while also touching on relevant topics such as entertainment and politics.

A young Steve Martin and Chevy Chase were on the writing staff at one point.

And now George wants to bring their story to the big screen, which hopefully cover the time when President Richard Nixon put them on their blacklist, which eventually resulted in their firing from CBS.

Ouch! Sounds interesting though.

And if anyone can do it, it's George. He's definitely the man that's up to the challenge.

Possible contender for Oscars 2013??

While George Clooney is a great actor and does make compelling movies, most of his flims are box office flops. The Smothers brothers aren't that interesting. If this movie is made, will just add to the list of box office flops.

Gonna be good???? Your taste in entertainment is horrible, even for a gay guy. The fucking smothers brothers are horrible. Never were funny, this film will suck ass.

You should read Dangerously Funny: The Uncensored Story of “The Smother Brothers Comedy Hour” by David Bianculli. They were very controversial for the time and paved the way for much of the comedy we see today.

Umm, let's research what we're talking about before we open our flatulant mouths.

Smother Brothers Comedy was a controversial show during the Vietnam era. Lots more going on here than VH1 celebreality bullshit.

Go back to watching reruns of The Bachelor, yo. A Smother's Brothers movie might have too many big words for you, honey!
