nicole scherzinger held at gunpoint in mexico

It's been tough times for Nicole Scherzinger lately!

Earlier this month, Scherzy was getting death threats over Drew Ryniewicz's vote-off from X Factor!

Then, people were PISSED after Nicole's controversial X Factor decision regarding Rachel Crow.

NOW, we're hearing that Nicole was held up AT GUNPOINT while on the set of her new music video for Try with Me in Mexico!

Here's what choreographer Brian Friedman (who was with Nicole at the time) had to say about it:

"We were held at gunpoint. People next to our cars…there were M16s and Berettas!"

"Nicole cursed me with this trip. It was the craziest adventure ever!"

Fortunately, the two were driving in a bulletproof SUV and nobody got hurt…or worse.

Be careful out there, Nicole! Scaaaaary!

Cause Mexico is such a safe place, it makes sense to go there to shoot a music video

  2. 2

    man people are insane!!

  3. 3

I'm always happy when attention whores get what the deserve. What the fuck are people doing in Mexico? don't people read the news. The drug lords have taken over and they will kidnap you and your mother. Dumbass bitch. If you swim with sharks you're going to get bit.

  4. 4

    she really is sexy

  5. 5

This is pretty vague. Who exactly held them at gunpoint? Was it a criminal element, or merely an armed checkpoint? Did they actually have guns pointed at them, or were there simply men with guns as part of their jobs? Without details, I might suspect a ploy to try and gain sympathy for Nicole. This could be as real as some stupid housewife getting 'lost at sea'.

  6. 6

Wow people are really mad she isn't a very good judge, on that show she does w/ that British guy.

  7. 7

Really, held up at gunpoint?! Or federales doing their job! If she's ever been to Mexico she would know. You see these men when your crossing the bridge to Tijuana! This totally sounds like a ploy to get sympathy for Nicole. No shame what so ever!

Would we ever read a news story that said "OH NO! NS held at gunpoint in the United States." NO…it would say the city and State. For god sake people, Mexico is a large country with safe areas and not so safe areas…just as our good old US of A. As an American living in Mexico, I am so tired of lazy and biased news reporting. Definitely wasn't Cabo.

Well, I'm a mexican who has lived in Mexico City his entire 22 years of live and I have never ever suffered even the slightest incident. So don't generalize!!

  10. 10

Exactly. Thanks for posting kkro! So tired of the Mexico bashing.

  11. 11

no we wont mention how safe Mexico is with the drug wars

  12. 12

damn girl i though you knew how dangerous is mexico you gotta be aware honey be safe next time and prepare..keep bringing great videos and songs

  13. 13

Wait, this story is confusing - held at gunpoint yet she was in a bullet-proof vehicle? Anyways, very scary and glad it was ok…maybe wiser to stay out of Mexico, yes.

By the way, this death threats thing - WTF??? It seemed like an odd decision for her to make on X-Factor, but she was under pressure…but death threats??? Cuz it's really a life and death matter isn't it? Where are some people's priorities? And the death threats to Esperanza Spaulding by silly Bieber fans, same thing. Of course, these people are all talk and don't really mean it…but seriously, how lame.

Re: rosebud99 – yeah there are really some big holes in this story!

  15. 15

    this is unmitigated bullshit.

I'm calling BS on this story, have driven all over the Yucatan, both to the beaches and the colonial cities as well as Campeche and yes my late husband and I were stopped sometimes at military checkpoints but they just want to see your registration, etc. and sometimes have you open the trunk of the rental car (down near the Belize border they are tough also) and they are only looking for people smuggling drugs or illegal aliens from Central America.

And yes, they carry big guns, and automatic weapons, it actually makes me feel safe. Had the same thing happen in Frankfurt airport in 1986, terrorist threats and all baggage had to be identified on the tarmac (no jetway use on that flight) and guess what, a few bags got left behind.

Get over yourselves people and stop being drama queens about "danger in Mexico"!

No, I've seen this kind of shxx happen down there randomly out of the blue. One thing happened to me in Mexico City. I was a guest of a local (Mexico City) airline pilot and we were leaving downtown after listening to the strolling mariachis. We had just pulled out of our parking space doing maybe 5 or 10 mph and hadn't gotten going yet when the federales pulled us over and threatened to cuff us and take us to the court for 'speeding.' Maybe they spotted the gringo (me) and it was obvious they wanted cash. As my flight left in 4 hrs, and not wanting to sit in some cell downtown fighting trumped charges, I gave them some cash and they waved us away. There were uniformed guys with big guns at the airport. I had mexican chocolate bars to bring back, and one of the guys with guns was asking about all the bars. I made the mistake of asking if he would like one, and the gun gets cocked and suddenly he's accusing me of trying to bribe him. After he saw the shock, he eventually 'decided' to let me on my plane. Haven't gone back since, and used to go twice a year.

Thank god she's okay! I love her!

But you Mario, remember, if you're going to get famous for nothing, at least write your OWN nothing instead of linking everyone who goes to your site, somewhere else…

  19. 19

Maybe they thought she was a mexican, i mea, with that fake bake and the fake black haircolor, she looks pretty mexican to me (not that I mean mexicans look fake; but most of them have a tan skin and dark hair). I wonder what woman looks like without tons of make up, a natural hair and skin color!

  20. 20

umm you're not held at gunpoint if you're in a car that's bullet proofed with your windows up. Just because there was a car beside you and those people were holding guns does not mean you at gun point.

  21. 21

This is totally FABRICATED. MADE UP AND A LIE!!

  22. 22

Too bad this nasty attention whore survived it. Hey, Mario: fancy a trip to Mexico?
