Oh no!

Legendary singer, Etta James, has been declared as terminally ill by her doctor.

Etta has been suffering leukemia for a while now, and unfortunately, it has developed into an incurable sickness.

Her doctor is asking fans to pray for her now.

….so sad. Our thoughts are with you, dear Etta.

this is a shame. Etta is a great entertainer, she is what every female singer would like to be. A classy professional singer. I remember an HBO special with B B KING, Eric Clapton, Etta and many others. anyway she did a duet with Dr. john of (i musta been) a blind boy that was the best i've ever heard.

Re: Michmasterflex – Etta is one of the best blues/r&b entertainers around. All of the pop asses wish they had 1/4 of her talent and class. I've seen her 8-10 in small local venues, she is GREAT

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.

Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:

"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."

That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:

"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

She added:

"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."

Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...

As for her transition from Disney teen idol to mature pop star, she said:
