Madonna's W.E. Nominated For Golden Globe! Here's What She Said…

Her madjesty had a great day Wednesday!

The Golden Globe nominations were announced, and yes, Madonna's directorial baby was nominated. Hooray!

W.E. is recognized for it's original song — Masterpiece.

And to express her thoughts, she told Anderson Cooper:

I was really happy. I am so proud of Abel Korzeniowski who did the score for my film. I don't know, it was a great way to wake up this morning.

Uhm, we're sure waking up as Madonna is a great way to wake up any morning. LOL!

We think it's really fitting her movie was nominated in the Best Original Song category, don't you?

Congrats, gurl!!!

And if U need a taste of W.E., go ahead and watch that trailer above!

LOL…JUST Best Original Song??? I'm glad the people at the Golden Globes know how to discern a good movie from crap.

Everything Madonna touches turn into crap (well, at least the movies).

it's nominated for both best original song and best score.

W.E. was beyond what i expected. I totally did not expect it to be such masterpiece, it really blew me away. I have to honestly say that is it is probably my favorite Madonna project besides music ever. Everything about this film impressed me from the costume, the lighting, the cast, but most importantly the the accuracy of the story and how Madonna was able to show a different side of the story. As a fan of The British Monarchy i had read a lot about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor but i never bothered to see the Duchess's side of the story and just what she had to go through, what she had to give up. Everyone always thinks about what King Edward VIII gave up, but they never take in consideration the hell she went through and that is what W.E. did for me it made me think and see it from her point of view. Once again Madonna has impressed me with her work, and honestly i don't care what the media says she did a great job directing this film. I am very proud to be a fan of such an intelligent, intellectual, brilliant, and talented artist who never cease to amaze me.

It's a Harvey Weinstein film, NOT Madonna film. It was re-edited and shot by the company backing. And the fact that It's nominated before It hits the theaters is ridiculous.

W.E. has 2 Golden Globe nominations! Besides 'Masterpiece' in Best Original Song category , Abel Korzeniowski has been nominated for Best Film Score. It's brilliant news.

    Re: hauntedmansion
Errr. The credits speak! Directed by Madonna! The Weinstein Company was never on set! Also, keep up! The movie has been showing in cinemas in LA & NY last week, rules don't demand it has to be on general release, and I don't see you commenting on Angelina Jolie's nomination, also not yet on general release. It's how the industry works !

Yes, I think it fitting that W.E. was nominated in the best original song category because the Golden Raspberry award for worst director is right around the corner. Should she win that, MadDonna would then complete the unusual trifecta of having won worst actress, supporting actress, and director. It's ALL TRUE!!!

I saw it tonight at an industry screening and it went on and on and on with a story that was documented 60+ years ago. Snore. Except the costumes were quite amazing.

Madonna may not a be a good actress, singer, director or celebrity to most of her naysayers but I'm amazed with this woman who explores other mediums to express her creativity and talent and she never ceases to surprise us with excellent command in the field of art and music! Keep it up Madonna! You'll always be one of the best significant contributor in the entertainment industry!
To her naysayers, what have you got to prove that you're better than her?

    Re: Darolo
Weinstein company acquired the distribution rights, and then re-edited and re-shot the shit out of it. The fact that they had to show it to numerous test audiences before releasing it only shows that It's been cut to please whom ever would be interested, aka the Madonna "fan".
About the A.J. film, she doesn't have any experience in directing either. Both of their films are expensive high school projects. This is going to start an age of ghost directors. Hollywood produces complete shite these days :/

I saw Filth and Wisdom and then went and bought it. i was pleasently surprised. She's got an eye I really think she did a great job. I look forward to seeing W.E.
I admire this woman for pursueing all her dreams and working her ass off to make them come true. She pushes herself and thats a great quality. Its more than most people do. I think she would be that way even if she wasnt famous. its in her blood. there is always a hint of jealousy in all her critic's words. i find that amusing cuz she's eventually proves every one of them wrong. HaHa.

Oh, yes, James, and your counterpoint to Hauntedmansion was so deep and profound. You're so wise, James…so very wise. :)
