dragon tattoo is mtvs number one movie of the year

We have a feeling this won't be the last honor that this film receives!

MTV has released its first ever list of the best movies of the year, and the winner of the top spot was The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!

Here's what MTV News' Josh Horowitz had to say about it:

"We all fell in love with this movie from the moment we saw it. We all love the work of David Fincher, we all were blown away by Rooney Mara, in this amazing performance of this iconic character, and thrilled by the kind of world that David Fincher created."

“We feel like this is a movie that is the best of what the thriller-crime drama can be."

We don't doubt it, and we CAN'T wait to see this! We know Rooney Mara will be A-MAZING As Lisbeth Salander!!!!

P.S. Check out MTV's full list of the top 10 movies of 2011 AFTER THE JUMP!

is anybody understanding why this goes like that…did you hear that this years Box Office suffered substantial losses..so they have to hype up whatever they think can save this year…for Fincher to make another Movie after the first one isn't even 2 years old , is like blowing a fart in the swedish Filmmakers Face..that man has no respect what so ever..or he starting to sell out..creepy

Whether this movie turns out to be the best of the year has yet to be determined as it hasn't been released. I don't think it's right to put it at the top of this list if the list is released before the film is seen by anyone besides critics. If MTV wants this movie to be in their #1 spot, then they should at least wait until after it's opening weekend before releasing their list.
