Britney And Jason Confirm Engagement, She Changes Her Facebook Status!!!!
We are SO SO SO happy for our gurl!!!
Thursday night, Jason Trawick popped the question and Britney said "YES!!"
Britney had anticipated that Jason was going to propose to her Friday night at his 40th birthday party, but he just couldn't wait! He jumped the gun and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him the night before.
Jason confirmed the engagement, saying:
"Yes, we are engaged. [We're] over the moon."
Jason also said that Brit Brit's boys Sean Preston and Jayden James witnessed the proposal, which made it extra special.
Aww!
Brit then changed her Facebook status from "In a relationship" to "Engaged," making it totally officiall, y'all!!! She also tweeted about it, calling Jason her "fiancé":

Seeing Brit happy makes US so happy! This is such an exciting time in her life and we can't wait to see what the next chapter of her life brings.

Flashdance Is Coming To Broadway!
3rd marriage!! she's our liz taylor!! love it!!
I've seen her in interviews lately and she comes across as a giggly 16 yr old who's not terribly clever and kind of flighty, and I believe she's still under her father's conservatorship. She's always seemed very sweet; but this pairing feels more like her finding someone to "take care of her"; not finding an equal partner in life, kind of like the responsibility of taking care of her is being passed from her dad to Jason. Jason also seems like a nice guy who obviously sees that she's sweet and cute & he probably likes taking care of her; but that's only adorable for so long – it becomes tired the older it becomes. They don't seem to have the maturity and balance that's required for a successful marriage. I wish them luck, as I think they're both going to need it; but I'm pretty sure they'll have a baby in short order, then we'll be reading about their separation in a few years. I do wish her all the best and I hope this gives her the stability & happiness she's looking for.
Part of me feels like Jason was set up to be her next husband. He is pretty much the only guy she can fall for / date as the other men in her life are her father and gay dancers. With her conserv., she can't meet other guys. It's like she is in this bubble she can't get out of.
That Jason guy probably feels like he hit the lotto. But I honestly hope this works out for her and that she is happy. I have always been a huge fan.
