    Stinkiest country EVER…completely disgusting. A friend literally got out of the airport and booked a flight out after spending a few hours in Mumbai. Beggars everywhere and people defecating on the streets!

India may have history but it also has people squatting by the roadside and crapping, garbage thrown on street corners, beggars at all traffic intersections, homeless people sleeping by the tens of thousands on pavements, millions of shanties within the cities, cows roaming busy streets, human and animal corpses floating in the Ganges where people bathe.     I loved India. While I was in Mumbai I ate at Leopald's and went to the caves of Elephanta… i highly recommend you go to both. Please, enjoy yourself and be grateful for the things we have that they don't.
    The people of India are wonderful!

I loved my time there, it's definitely different than North America and there are some huge extremes in terms of pollution and poverty but to compare it to CUBA!? lol Not even close. And Mario, you can visit Cuba, fly to Canada and fly to Cuba from here and don't have your passport stamped, Americans do it all the time.

    Mario, you can go to Cuba via Canada or Mexico. It's worth doing. Havana is a beautiful city. However, India and Cuba are VERY different.

    Merry Christmas! Just FYI from someone who has visited both India (2) and Cuba (7). India is NOTHING like Cuba. It's not even apples to oranges. The only thing that might be similar are the amazing people in both places. Enjoy your holidays.

I loved India, from New Delhi to Mumbai to Bangalore. Total culture shock. Not the entire country stinks, nor is there poverty everywhere you go. If you don't want to 'deal' with the way people live down there, check in the Four Seasons. Or better yet, don't go at all!
