But he does, and he says it's just his nature - which is why he thought X Factor would start out as huge a hit in the States as it was across the pond.
But he believes in the series and the next season, saying it's only gonna take some time for X Factor to blow up into the phenom it is in the UK!

LOL! This made me laugh as the series has just finished with a record low in the UK so yeah don't think it is a phenomenon anymore
