The Courage Campaign Wants Kim Kardashian To Redeem Herself

| Filed under: PolitikKim KardashianBusiness Blitz

Kim Kardashian isn't really the most beloved person in the country right now, and it seems like a lot of people are watching the show out of a morbid curiosity about her failed marriage.

That doesn't mean, however, that she can't do some good! Especially according to the Courage Campaign.

They want her to endorse the Millionaires Tax of 2012, that would levy a higher tax on Californians who make more than $1 million a year.

Check out the video above — it basically explains itself!

Do U think she should make this effort??

Screw that how is her "fair share" more than anyone elses. Just because she, along with everyone else who has a lot of money, worked very hard for it she has to get more taken from her. That doesnt seem very "fair." Its her money and she can do what she wants with ti but should not have anymore taken away from her, shes already paying 1% more than everyone else. Stop being lazy and get better jobs.

Middle class Californians make a LOT more than $47,000…that's like lower class. Middle class has to be at least $120,000+ a year in a state like ours. I ABSOLUTELY agree that more money needs to be funded toward education (instead of consistently cutting from it), but there are a lot more people who have a lot more money than the Kardashians in California. Make a video for THEM. These days, $12 million a year isn't really that much…this idiot is just pissed off because of HOW she made it.

Also, why is the background music dubstep?

Re: Uruha – I absolutely agree! Everyone needs to stop wasting they're time on hating to Kardashians for making so much money doing nothing when really the issue is the rest of the 1% not paying THEIR fair share of taxes. Yet instead we're just focusing on some slut who got famous on a reality show. And the irony of it all is that WE are the reason they have gotten so rich these past few years. Stop watching and giving them ratings! Then maybe with a little luck they will go away.

This video is so stupid. She is already getting taxed more than the middle class, why should she pay even more in taxes just because she made 12 million? I am not buying this whole 99% vs the 1% in this incidence. Its just not fair to ask someone paying a higher percent in taxes to pay even more just because they made more money than I will probably ever see. She worked hard to get that money however she got it, and paid her taxes. Leave her alone.

  5. 5

Well she does have all the money…so why not?
Kim KarTRASHian made a fortune selling trash.

lol 10.3% in taxes… DID YOU KNOW, in Norway, we have to pay over 44% in taxes if we make more than average? And if we have 2 jobs, we have to pay nearly 50% in taxes! AND NOT only that, EVERYTHING that you think is expensive in US.. TWICE THE PRICE, thats how much it cost in Norway. Cars, clothes, food, etc. A jeep Grand cherokee cost almost 180 000 US $ in Norway YEP THATS RIGHT. So stop complaining Americans. ;)

Re: Tash20 – Ya she didn't just get the money handed to her but what about the hard working nurses, social workers, teachers, etc? I grew up middle class with no welfare or tax breaks for being rich. And let me tell you something… It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows behind my white picket fence.

Re: Mr Cashier – Many Americans aren't complaining, only the Republicans tend to bitch about taxes. For those of us who are educated, it's known that the U.S. pays VERY low taxes relatively. I'd personally prefer to live in a country like yours and pay higher taxes for the more quality care that your tax-funded projects enables you guys to get. So I completely agree with you…as an American, it's frustrating to see these idiots whine about taxes when they don't even know how easy they have it.

Our problem isn't a tax revenue problem or class warfare problem. Our problem is that politicians are spending money we don't have. The Democrats have no solution to that so they carry on with silly millionare tax proposals which will do very little since there's not many millionares out there. Personally I rather have Kim Kardashian keep her money and spend it however she pleases than give more $$$$ to the corrupt bastards in Congress

  10. 10

She should, but she won't: She's a whore and the daughter of a dyed-in-the-kunt pimp.

  11. 11

Ok, Has any one thought what 10.3 % of taxes on 12 millions would be compared to 9,3% on an annual salary of 47 000? There's a huge difference, therefore I believe that everyone is paying their fair share of taxes.

  12. 12

Re: Uruha – You are a child. I am willing to bet you pay zero taxes which is why you talk the way you do. I personally pay 60% in taxes between property tax, state, city, federal, social security, medicaid and medicare. How much more do you think I should pay? I was the one who got up at 4am to study for school for 10 yrs before I went to school and worked late to pay for my education. I wasn't partying like everyone everyone, I was working one ofmy 2 jobs or studying. Don't tell me I should pay more.

You lazy losers need to pitch in some and help with this burden.

  13. 13

Re: Uruha – BTW, if you are educated and can't pay for yourself then you picked some liberal thnking degree that can't support themselves.

I am confused on your thinking….you are insinuating the Republicans are not educted. If that is ture, the how are they the fat cats? Are Republicans, uneducated white trash or are they the wealthy jet owners? If sure can't be both. I have never seen an uneducated jet owner.

  14. 14

Anything she does just looks like a fake PR move. Even if she did find something to do that she sincerely believed in, it would come across as fake. Kim has cried wolf too much and now anything she says or does is just for PR or appears to be just for PR. Whatever she does, if she is sincere about making things better in this world, she should do out of the public eye.

  15. 15

"a lot of people are watching the show out of a morbid curiosity about her failed marriage" At the end of the day all people are doing is putting money in her pocket if you hate her so much STOP watching the show!!! So many people CLAIM they dont like her or her family yet their still supporting them?! Tell me how that makes any sense

  16. 16

Of course the rich want the masses to believe that they should have special tax breaks so that they can be "job givers"; and of course, those that make this kind of coin are going to whine when their own government is asking them to finally accept reality and be taxed at the same rate of tax as the lower and middle classes. The divide between the lower/middle class and the rich has been growing which is evident by the amount of uneducated and homeless americans. When the rich cannot find anyone to buy their products, protect their property or service their businesses, then they will wish they would have co-operated with a fair tax across the board.

  17. 17

The property taxes in the types of neighborhoods they live in is INSANELY high. Why should someone rich have to pay even higher taxes when chances are likely they are living in a home in a certain area thats way more expensive to live.

Lets also not forget, that they themselves are the ones responsible for making people like Kim rich. Even making this video is counter productive because its free PR for her and continues putting her name in the press therefore just making her more famous, and then richer. I'd be more concerned with rich people in cali basically being able to get away with murder. Lindsay lohan proved what a joke their system is. Wealthy people get off with slaps on the wrist, their bails are set to 5k while someone else who did the same exact thing is set to 15k.

Celebs being rich and having to pay higher taxes doesn't bother me, what does is the amount of special treatment they get.

Shouldn't their taxes be lowered to the same percentage point as the middle class if its suppose to be fare? That doesn't really make sense. If it was fair everyone would pay the same percent of taxes no matter what their income is. I don't care for the kardashians but fair is fair.

Re: FuckTheGovernmentAndPerez – You honestly believe that KK earned 12 million last year from hard work and the sweat of her brow? She made a sex tape, her already rich mother sold it, she "shows up" for an hour at clubs and gets paid tens of thousands for LITERALLY standing and smiling, she's on a rediculously stupid reality show where she speaks and behaves like a MORON, she's completley uneducated and lacks any viable skillset that anybody not born a Kardashian would need in order to survive in life. Why do you defend this nonsense? Is it because you believe it's the American dream? Is it because you think you can have it too? Well you can't. You will never be able to fly around the world in private jets, have millions worth of free gifts dropped at your feet, get paid rediculous amounts of money for showing up and smiling. I'm not saying you won't be able to amass millions, but you will have to actually work for it, not just have sex, smile and speak like you have the functioning of a 12-year old brain. She contributes less than zero to society (in that she's actually dumbing down America), let her contribute something at least.

Re: ganjafarmer – I'm glad you get it my friend ;-) yeah I will confess that my sick curiosity has resulted in her gain, but I'm not one to get upset over it. In the end, she's the one laughing all the way to the bank, and because her income (however earned) isn't really relatively substantial, I doubt it affects my life. I frankly don't care at all, unlike the fools who wasted their time on this video, since their little movement won't get anywhere.

This is kinda funny. In Denmark the minimum taxes are 30% and if you earn more than $10.000 a month the taxes are 60% Unfair? Well in return you get:
    1. all doctor visits payed incl. all treathment - also cancer
    2. free school (also college and university) + about payed $1000 a month for studying
    3. more than $1000 a month when you retire
    4. economic help when your looking for a job (also more than $1000 a month)
    5. almost free daycare and kindergarden
    And MUCH more!
