She's A Survivor, She's Not Gone Give Up! Arizona Student Survives After Being Stranded For 10 Days!

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueInspiration

An Arizona State student survived on melted snow and two candy bars after she was trapped for ten days in Arizona's high country.

Lauren Weinberg left her mothers house and her car got stuck a day later. She did not have any cold weather clothing and had no supplies to the elements.

Wait? It snows in Arizona?!

A three day winter storm hit Lauren whie she was driving. Temperatures dropped to near zero at night.

The 23 year old thought on her feet and put snow in a water bottle and placed in on the roof of her car so it could melt. Weather forecasters found her survival remarkable due to the inclement weather.

Lauren said the following on her rescue:

I am so thankful to be alive and warm. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, because they worked. There were times I was afraid but mostly I had faith I would be found.

Lauren missed her finals the week she was stranded

We think this girl DESERVES to retake her exams. Yo go, gurl!

She bucked up ,used her head, and did what she had to do. Instead of calling the weather deplorable and whining like a little bitch.

  2. 2

It snows in AZ? That's about as stupid as saying, "It snows in CA?"

  3. 3

"She's Not Gone Give Up" "Arizona Survives" It should say "She's Not Going to Give Up" and "Arizonan Survives". Trying hiring someone other than an illegal alien to do your ghost writting.

Ha it's funny that he says it snows in AZ. Flagstaff, Arizona has more inches of snow fall in one year than the east coast.

Wow way to write a headline that makes no sense whatsoever. Maybe the writers on here need to go back to elementary school where you learn how to make an intelligent sentence.

Not only are you an idiot who can't read or write (Arizona survives? Seriously???) but you are also an idiot that clearly lacks basic knowledge about the geography and climate of the U.S. Also, no one over the age of eight uses "gurl" as an acceptable spelling of "girl."

She's not gone give up? WTF is that? Don't have time to translate crap writing.

Normally I'd agree and say Perez needs better writers. But jesus, seriously? Am I the only one that gets they were goin for the Destiny's Child "Survivor" reference?

    No cell phone?

Awesome! Glad 2 hear a good ending of survival!
And LoL …. The laughs on P.com are like no other!

It also snows in Hawaii… try and learn something about the world other than celebrity bullshit, and you may not come off sounding like such a fucking idiot Perez.

This week Az and NM got hit with a winter storm. So did Colorado. My entire family lives there. It's a mess. Well I'm in the frozen midwest!!! I'm glad she survied and did not wonder around in the snow. When I travel I always keep my Cell phone with me.
    Good look on those exams.

If you want slang for effect if you must, it would be 'She's Not Gon' Give Up!' or Gonna…but not going to give up works just fine anyway.

Re: Aleya – I got that.

I can't even imagine how terrifying this would be. Thank God she was okay. I don't get what you meant about the waterbottle bit. HOW did that help? Don't get it. I guess I'll have to read the story from a news source. Lol.

    Re: ceeeee
When snow melts it turns to water, a human can't survive for more than a few days without it.

Re: Aleya – Thank God! Someone besides me connected the dots! And for everyone blasting Perez for his lack of knowledge of weather conditions in a place that he resides he is not the minority. Many (and I do mean many) people do not know it snows in Az. Many people think desert and Valley of the Sun. Hell, I didn't know until I moved here over a decade ago.
