Sad news! Super sad news!

In 2003, Broadway STAR Carol Channing married her school sweetheart after 70 years apart — Harry Kullijian.

Monday, just a few days away from his 92nd birthday, Harry died from an aneurysm related condition.

He and Carol began an arts foundation with such inspiration, saying:

We aren't trying to save the arts. We are using the arts to save our children.

Ah-mazing. Truly wonderful people. And one of the cutest couples of the century.

We're so sad over this. Carol, our thoughts are you with you…

    aww poor thing! I love these old-timers. They're the best and most real thing in hollywood. They EARNED their celebrity.. God bless that family.

    And to think that she achieved her fame without needing to have even one man piss in her mouth. Well, its a testament to what it took to become famous in a bygone era: TALENT. And in later life, these two dedicated their energies with panache, focus, meaning and dignity (another lost art).

    Aw, this is making me get a little teary. I didn't know this story…70 years later!

    Carol Channing gave an amazing Christmas show in Palm Springs on December 21st. She is a true legend and I am very sorry for her loss.
