YES! This is what we like to hear!

According to a new poll done by NextMovie.com, the upcoming adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel The Hunger Games, starring Jennifer Lawrence, has beat out The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 as the most anticipated flick of 2012, with 51% of the vote!

And the poll also reports that audiences marked Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 as the best movie of the year, with 52% of the vote!

Ouch, Twi-Hards!

Guess moviegoers are finally getting some sense when it comes to quality!

although suzanne collins took extensively from battle royale, she is by far a better writer than myers. i hope they make the whole series into films.

  2. 2

i dont get what this movie is about, but it looks like its on the same level as twilight..

  3. 3

Hunger games is a a total knock-off of Battle Royale. It's just as dismal as Twilight crap. Harry Potter is the only quality franchise from a YA series.

  4. 4

YEAH!!!!!! Anything is better than Twilight. :)

I really like THG, and I realize it's good for the economy if we have a twilight 2.0 craze with this series. But I don't think it's realistic to think THG is going to amass the hysteria that either twilight or HP ever did. It will do well, but it's not going to ever match the frenzy that accompanied the first twilight film.

A Twilight 2.0, Oh No!!! ….. Avada Kedavra!

I have to laugh at this post, considering Perez is the biggest fucking Twi-tard of them all. Basically anything is better than Twilight, but I'm really excited for The Hunger Games. I can't wait for this Twilight aged bullshit to go away.

hey perez, remember back in 2008 before twilight had come out, you'd write a post about the stars or the book or the movie and you'd easily get 300 + comments? This post has 7. LOL

i read the books… the first book was the best… the other two are odd. It wont make money like twilight. im sure of it.

What? No Batman? All my friends cant wait for the new Batman.

So 49% of the vote still went to the last installment of the 'Twilight' series (I REFUSE to call it a "saga" since it's nothing more than poorly-written, juvenile, sexist drivel), I'm still disappointed : (

    I'm excited.

the dark night rises…the hobbit ..anything than that sh$t

  14. 14

just as it should be. this poll must have actually included people other than 13 year old girls and overweight middle aged women

  15. 15

Um, who in the fuck did they poll?!! the hobbit, batman, and the avengers are the ones to look out for..

  16. 16

the hunger games is NOTHING like twilight. does any read?

  17. 17

Let's not compare the two, the Hunger Games books are far better written than Twishite.
