And what a property to lose.
At the start of the new year, The Hiltons lost one of their most priced pieces of real estate. Their Las Vegas hotel-casino was officially changed from The Las Vegas Hilton to just The Las Vegas Hotel & Casino after their licensing agreement expired.
The hotel has been a Hilton ever since 1971, after billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian opened the property in 1969 as the International Hotel, then sold it to the Hilton chain. It's claim to fame was the fact that Elvis was a frequenter of the hotel and considered it his favorite haunt.
We suppose change can be a good thing, but let us just hope that is the case for this long standing property. What will become if it next, we wonder!
