Don't hate the players and don't hate the game. Just … make it work!

Soap fans lost a lot this year as two long-standing shows finally met their end on network television. Fans of One Life To Live had taken up arms (so to speak) against their favorite show's replacement, The Revolution. This new type of talk show, which features Tim Gunn, Ty Pennigton and other personalities, who reach out to ordinary people and help make their lives better.

Since the essence of their show is a peaceful and productive one, Tim is hoping OLTL fans will forgive the circumstances that got them on the air, and embrace their new show all the same. He explained at the show's TCA panel:

“We’re not trying to replace anyone, we’re a very different flavor. And we hope people will tune in and be inspired by the information that we give and by our takeaways and speaking for me… it’s just a great joy and a great privilege and honor to be part of ‘The Revolution.’”

Well, we're glad to hear he is proud of the work he is doing … but is that enough to suffice the scorned fans who will no longer see how things pan out in Llanview,PA every day!

Perhaps time will heal this wound. That … and a little more screen time for Ty. Hey, we know you ladies loooooove him! Don't deny it!

Sorry but I am not watching this show. I loved my soaps, been watching some of them since I was a teen with my late Grandma.

    Bahumbug!

Ladies love him? Perez, what would you know about what women like? Obviously nothing.

Not going to watch. One more reality "help" show is not needed. The soaps have a very important function and ABC is making a big mistake.

Cold day in hell before I'll watch any daytime ABC show after the way they treated the soap stars and the fans…

I'm sure Tim Gunn is a nice man, but I have no interest in a self-improvement show. Self-improvement programs like The Revolution already exist on other networks. ABC Daytime is ditching a show with 40-years of entertainment history in order to show this redundant talk show. I will not watch vapid talkers like The Chew or The Revolution, but frankly Disney/ABC doesn't care about ratings or fan loyalty; this is all about replacing the expense of a daytime drama with a more cheaply produced reality show.

Nice of him to extend an olive branch but we soap fans are banded together..not going to reward abc for a bad decision taking off All My Children and One Life To Live…if they take General Hospital off..I shall delete ABC and all my favorite abc shows, off my remote. I am not the only one so they need to keep GH on..for their sake ($$)

I gave the Revolution a chance watched the entire show….FAIL just a copycat of all the other shows that are already on. Been a fan of OLTL since I was 8….I'm a grandma now. I wouldn't even watch the Revolution or the Chew if it were on another channel at another time….just plain not good thinking on abc's part.
