After 30 Years Of Investigation, The Cops On Natalie Wood's Death Have Learned…

| Filed under: Legal MattersSad Sad

Absolutely, positively nothing.

This past fall, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department decided they were getting kind of bored, so they went ahead and reopened the case of Natalie Wood's mystery death for attention. It's long been a theory that her death was actually not an accident in which she fell over the side of a yacht and drowned, but that she was in fact murdered by someone on board.

But guess what folks? Even after 30 years, this one remains a mystery to investigators. According to officials, NOTHING new has been found in the past few months to provide any details on her death or lead detectives to think her loss was anything more than an accident.

Still, the case hasn't been closed yet. There are still some on the force who refuse to lose hope, who insist that something more can be learned and uncovered about poor Nat Wood's demise.

To them they say: a tip of the hat to you, Columbo! Here's hoping you can make history!

Nat Wood was drunk and fell off a boat and drowned. She wasn't murdered. I think people have a hard time believing someone so famous and beautiful could die is such a way, but people get in accidents when they have been drinking all the time.

Re: Demode – People also have a hard time believing that a television actor like Robert Wagner may have actually had something to do with Natalie's death, even though he admits to being drunk, angry, argumentative and smashing wine bottles on the night that Natalie died.

Re: KEEFER – You're right, Keefer, Wagner can change his shorts. But he had better keep another pair handy. Even though he is "not a suspect," the investigation is still open and ongoing.

The case has slowed a bit from the initial flood of new information, but Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the Sheriff's department, says it's not closed.

"The investigation is not closed. It's possible we could yield new information that changes this case. There are leads we're following up on and have to close them out before we say anything definitive. Sure there is possible new information that could come out that really changes everything,"
