Katy Perry Releases Acoustic Version Of The One That Got Away

| Filed under: Music MinuteKaty Perry

She really wants that #1 spot!

In an effort to stir up some more interest in her latest single, Katy Perry has released a new version of The One That Got Away — an acoustic one!

You can download the track on iTunes (only with the original version, get it?), but have a listen to it here first (above).

It's pretty, with a very strong acoustic guitar and just some light twinkling of a piano.

Wow, what a blantant publicity stunt. Let's see, her husband files for divorce, and she recycles a song called the one that got away, but acustic, artsy crap. What a joke. I'm tired of that doe eyed deer in headlights look she has. She sucks, but not good enough or russell would have stayed.

Her label had this planned all along since the positive of her acoustic performance of the song on the X Factor UK. It is better than the original though. The original is more like bubblegum pop.

What a desperate way to break a record… unfortunately music business has come to this. Untalented white trash sluts shit No1 records like every other month by cheating, releasing many versions, lowering the price etc. They would gladly fuck ANYONE who buys their songs…

I thought that said her "Autistic version." Made more sense the way I read it…

doesn't sound as nice as when she performed this song LIVE, she should of had someone record her peoples choice awards version.. that was pretty

How on earth would this help her get the #1 spot? If anything it's going to hurt it, by releasing a different version. This is going to lessen the sales of the original track, and no way an acoustic re-release has the momentum to get to the #1 spot.
