Syfy is showing the cable world how to network with social media!
With blistering speeds and advancements in technology, people have access to anything in a matter of seconds and can share info with thousands of others.
Beginning with its name change and rebranding, Syfy is ranked on top of other cablers regarding social media users, according to a recent two year study.
Syfy and researchers, PSFK and Simmons, call this group of people "Igniters." Igniters crave to be "in the know" and the study claims they are overactive in three categories:
An insatiable need to constantly be in the know
A must-have urge in finding the next big thing
Showing the rest of the world what they found.
Igniters range in degree of what they search for. It can be from clothing styles, car buying, and internet memes.
Plus, igniters sounds sooo much better than hipsters.
Syfy goes on to say that their progamming is designed for those who use their imagination and is creating another website for igniters.
