2 Broke Girls: "We're Sorry…And We're Looking For A Hot Asian Guy!"

After recent backlash about the show being racist, and Michael Patrick King trying to defend the racism because he makes fun of gay people and he is gay…

2 Broke Girls is looking for a hot Asian guy!

As the show continues to be mired in controversy, it has sent out a casting call for a studly Asian man to romance Beth Behrs' character, Caroline.

Is this an attempt to balance out the caricatured Han?

We're going to go with…ABSOLUTELY! But are they just throwing gas on the fire?

We'll find out when the episode airs!

Wow it will be fabulous for this actor to know he is there a an absolute token. No more, no less. Isnt that cliched bad? Havnt comedians joked over nonesense like this for years and now its happening. Why are we pandering to these bitches. The silent majority (millions of hard working americans) dont care about these stunts. What a world we're creating here and guess what…IT ISNT GETTING ANY BETTER!

Thats some fairly blatant tokenism. He'l be around for one or two episodes, everyone will go 'look he's asian! Look at how asian he is!' and then he will be gone.

So, is 90% of America's population filled with overly uptight political correct pansies with sticks up their ass and tissues in their hands? Seems so to me.

So they caved to the protestors. I am so sick of these groups.

    I love this show!

This show is fkn hilarious!!! The hoarding ep was some funny shite! It's one of the few shows out there that has the nuts to be edgy right now. People need to relax geeze! They make fun of everyone including themselves. Give me more….

I'm Asian and don't find this show offense. Actually I try not to get uptight and offended by a lot of things. People seem to get themselves tied in a knot over the most ridiculous things. All this assumed racism-sexism really takes away from people just taking entertainment for face value and enjoying it as it is. Unless it's obvious, our assumptions about underlying meanings are pointless.

Re: speelingmistake – unfortunately this is very correct.

Most asian people I see walking around don't know a lick of english, so Han's character is almost pretty accurate. It's not fully accurate because he actually tries, where as most people off the boat don't even bother.

the show is alredy bad, just cancel it!

You can't do shit without some group or someone trying to turn it into a scandal or saying it's racism. This show is hilarious bc it covers ALL kinds of issues in a comical way. Just bc a lot of people don't have a sense of humor, they try to ruin shit for everyone else. Smh

This show is hilarious! It's the type of comedy you rarely see on networks. It's like watching a Comedy Central roast play out in one show among different characters. Funny!

    Re: NookiesWA
So you're saying 10% of America's population likes to see minorities be made fun? That's not bad if it's only 10% lol.

Having an edgy show doesn't necessarily mean the lone token asian actor represents asian-americans. Stereotypes are funny if they're not taken too seriously, but doesn't the image of "Han" reminds you of so and so? Is that good a thing to be made fun of??

Remember, there are very few recognizable asians in hollywood. Jackie chan and Jet li are nationals from overseas, they're not from here and usually, these asian actors in american movies are paired up with an american actor, it's not really a leading role per say for these actors in America.

and its people like below that get good shows cancelled now. Pilots are always terrible then they start to get good. I cant wait until monday after a long day at work to be able to watch this show. its crude and maybe a little racist (maybe) but there's a lot worse thats on tv and people watch that shit! people are to critical, lighten up. or go get a job you hate so you cant wait for a little humor when you get home!
