All the Dwi-Hards will be SO happy to hear this! Ha!
We've JUST learned that NBC is working on a potential Office spin-off, which would focus on Rainn Wilson's character Dwight Schrute!
Nothing's been confirmed yet, but we're hearing that the show MAY be set for a midseason 2013 launch.
As far as the plot is concerned, here's what we've learned about the Dwighttastic family comedy thus far:
"It will have Dwight (Wilson) living at the Schrute family beet farm and bed & breakfast, which have been featured on the show several times, including in an episode where Jim and Pam visited Dwight there…The potential spinoff will be introduced in an Office episode later this season set at Schrute Farms."
And here's more about the show from a source close to The Office:
"Paul and Rainn have been joking for years about Dwight’s life on the farm, his family and how ill-suited he is to run a B&B. A while ago, it started to feel like a show to them. NBC agreed, it’s been further developed to include multiple generations, many cousins and neighbors…"
"At its base it will be about a family farm struggling to survive and a family trying to stay together."
This actually sounds kind of awesome! Reminds us of that John Cleese-starring British sitcom Fawlty Towers from the 1970s…only with WAY more beets! LOLz!
What do U think? Will U watch Dwight's show when/if it premieres next year???
