Paging Jack Bauer! Terrorists are out!
Homicidal maniacs are in!
The MAJOR news in television today is the announcement that Kevin Bacon, after years of being pursued by broadcast and cable networks, has accepted the offer from FOX to star win Kevin Williamson's serial killer pilot. The show is being described an edgy thriller about a sinister serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of fellow murderers. Bacon is pegged to play a retired FBI profiler caught up in the search to nail this lunatic.
But here's the interesting part of the deal: Kevin is only committed to star in 15 episodes, should this thing go to series, versus the standard 22. This leeway gives him the option to do some feature films while he is in production as well as spend time with his family, two very important stipulations for Kev.
If this turns out to be anything like 24 was for Kiefer Sutherland, that arrangement won't last long!
FOX must be very happy with itself today! Any tips for our new gumshoe, Dexter??
