Chris Rock Says He's Down To Pay Higher Taxes

| Filed under: PolitikChris RockBusiness Blitz

Chris Rock has become the latest one percent-er to say he's okay with raising taxes on himself.

Joining Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and others, the comedian (who's worth $70 MILLION!) says he's going to lose the extra money, so why not help others get jobs.

Chris said the following on the matter:

can pay higher taxes and people can have jobs or I can pay lower taxes and I have my kids' teacher asking me for a loan because she's going to lose her house, which is true. Stuff like that happens, so I'm going to lose the money no matter what.

Well said, Mr. Rock! Do U agree?

Check out the video above and hear Chris dish on his thoughts on the economy.

Everyone can write an extra check to the government. I encourage it and it should be OPTIONAL.

Oh grow the fuck up! If we all paid higher taxes the money would go to the same places it goes to now — which is down the toilet on special interest projects (i.e. Solyndra, which went bankrupt right after Obama gave it millions of dollars), or to Unions. Any money spent on "teachers" has totally gone to waste and not to higher salaries or books, etc. Change who's in Congress and the President and see what happens then.

Maybe if I had 70 million lying around I'd be okay with losing some money, too. "Well said"? Last time I checked, a 160 character tweet that barely makes sense is not well said. But okay. You'll take any chance you get to praise a liberal and put down a conservative. No one will respect what you have to say if you can't respect all opinions yourself….
