black sabbath drummer may pull out of reunion

Bummer! Let's hope they can work everything out!

Back in November, Black Sabbath announced plans to reunite for a 2012 world tour AND a new album!

Now, the band's drummer Bill Ward is saying that he won't join the reunion unless he's offered a "signable" contract:

"At this time, I would love nothing more than to be able to proceed with the Black Sabbath album and tour. However, I am unable to continue unless a 'signable' contract is drawn up; a contract that reflects some dignity and respect toward me as an original member of the band."

"Several days ago, after nearly a year of trying to negotiate, another 'unsignable' contract was handed to me."

More from Bill:

"If I'm replaced, I have to face you, the beloved Sabbath fans. I hope you will not hold me responsible for the failure of an original Black Sabbath lineup as promoted."

We don't know all the details, so it'd be impossible for us to say whether or not his current contract is truly 'unsignable,' but we do hope that it all gets figured out! We know there are TONS of Black Sabbath fans out there who would go totally nuts for a full-fledged reunion!!!!

What do U think? In the end, will we get to see the original Black Sabbath lineup back together again???

Either way, Bill, not sure it is really about you…no offense.

There's no (honest) excuse for a contract to be vague in any way regarding band member renumeration. If they're not sure on attendance, the cut simply comes from a predetermined share of the box office after expenses. Give the man proper effing contract.
