Relax, Joe Francis! No Girls Gone Wild Are Coming To The Super Bowl!

We doubted that this would even cause her to bat an eyelash in the first place!

Joe Francis is apparently none too pleased with Madonna for using his trademarked title Girls Gone Wild as a song on her new album, MDNA, without his consent, and fired off a cease-and-desist letter to the pop icon, essentially banning her from performing the track during her halftime performance at the Super Bowl!

However, a rep for Madge has replied that luckily, the song is NOT part of her set list!

Phew!

Now we wonder if they're still going to try and get money from her regarding the usage of the title on the album!

What do U think?? Does Joe have a case against the Queen?

this is ridiculous… 50 cent sing is called girls gone wild too…. nice way to try to earn some money ….. shame…. whats the problem of madonna using the name GGW»???no problem at all

  2. 2

This is Joe Francis getting publicity for himself. Madonna's song is not taking away from his company. No one buying Madonna's music is thinking it has anything to with his brand of GGW…

    what a douche

ManlyDonald is thinking of trademarking the acronym OBGW (old bag gone wild) for her Superbowl performance.

So, who is this plastic looking c**t..and I dont mean Madonna?

Other than Madonna's age, her fake British accent & her chicken arms, the thing that turns people off the most is her use of religious imagery. A lot of people just aren't religious or may be non-Christians or borderline atheists. Crosses & rosaries just aren't cool. I know her name is "Madonna", but still… Her use of church symbols also makes the Vatican angry because it's mostly disrespectful & sacrilegious. Ditto for Lady Gaga, who copies Madonna to a T & thinks her fans are too dumb to notice. I'll probably be skipping this crap fest tomorrow. Madonna should be doing something less visible, like producing or directing. She's too old to be a pop star.

both of these people are sociopaths with no respect for right and wrong. they prove that being a bad person can make you really rich…in this life. good luck in the next one, bitches.

Unless he trademarked the name he has no claim on it. Example: Don McLean had the foresight to trademark "American Pie" so no one could use that name\title\etc without first getting his permission and then paying him a royalty. So for every one of those movies made that had nothing at all whatsoever to do with his song he got a check! So unless Joe Francis LEGALLY owns the name "Girls Gone Wild" he's out of luck.

If the title "Girls Gone WIld" is copyrighted by Joe, he has a case. I imagine that it is. So Madonna will either have to change the name of the song, or pay up.

Wow- he could sue her and pay off some of his massive debts, fines and back taxes…it's a LOSER win-win!
