Federal Appeals Court Ready To Announce Their Ruling On Prop 8! TODAY!

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayPolitikLGBT

It's about time!

After a year delay, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has announced that a three-judge panel will announce today its ruling on whether or not the ban on same-sex marriage in California, known as Proposition 8, bans the constitutional rights of gays and lesbians!

Apparently, the panel held off on the decision as they wanted to be informed by the California Supreme Court as to the legality of the Prop 8 sponsors authority to challenge the trial judge's ruling that it was unconstitutional to begin with!

Doesn't seem like that much of a question to us, but okay!

We also know that regardless of the decision today, both sides will be ready to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, but we sincerely hope that this panel realizes what a disgusting infringement on basic human rights this ban truly is!

Did you just say that marriage is a basic human right? Good god you sound like a fucking moron.

Equall Marriage to all… Keep it simple … that's all !

Marriage isn't a basic human right, you dumbass. It is a religious invention, embraced by law, that is a contract between a man and a woman and provides for begetting legal heirs. A basic human right is water. Or food. Or not being beaten and tortured. Nowhere in our constitution does it say that guys who play butt darts with each other or women who love to much carpet are entitled to be married. The founders of this country were conservative men, and would never have considered gay marriage as a "right." It is ridiculous for any judge to spin the constitution in support of it. I hope Proposition 8 is upheld; the people spoke. The gays need to STFU and move on.

Re: La GarseRe: triple M – Then why don't we just eliminate marriage altogether and just have civil unions in this country? According to you guys they mean the same thing, but if you say it's for religious reasons then you're going against the separation of church and state. Look, we all know there's a difference between marriage and civil unions. Jews and Atheists get married all the time. If you don't think your faith or marriage is strong enough to survive gay marriage, then that's your problem, not mine.

Great news. I'm so sick of hearing about this Prop 8. Lift the ban and let's move on with our lives already. 75 million dollars wasted on it. Those same people who donated could've used it to help those in need instead. Idiots.
