The proof will be in the performance of the SECOND single. Madonna is hot now off the back of the superbowl, but I wanna see if radio plays her follow up with no guest stars. Technically she hasn't had a second single hit on billboard since Don't Tell Me. After the American Life Backlash, Hollywood flopped, so did SOrry and so did Give it To Me although they did great outside of USA. I wonder if this album will bring back her glory days of top ten hits and number 1's..we shall see

Re: Shaniqua Jones – I doubt it.. the tweener crowd thinks of her as Grandonna. 18-29 yr old music buying crowd dont care about her. Old and out of date. Her shit sounds like revamped swaggerjacked tracks from the 80's and early 90's, mehhhh.

Perez I am also INCREDIBLY suspicious of your recent massive support for Madonna yet you haven't mentioned Gaga in ages unless its Madonna connected. Why haven't you talked about Gaga releasing pictures of her stage for her tour? You're such a fucking back stabber. With friends like you, who needs enemies, you piece of human excrement.

    Re: Shaniqua Jones
I've noticed the same thing. Nary a mention of LG lately, and it used to be that she would so much queef, and Perez would report on it. They were never friends to begin with.

Uhhh.NEWSFLASH. Her record company PAID radio stations to play her new song every hour/on the hour these past few days..anyone with ears and a radio woulda realized that.

Yeah gayboy, i'm gonna guess she's no. 1 in 49 countries, like Croatia, Ecuador, Bali, etc… Wow, what a pathetic transparent promotion of an old talentless hag.

  10. 10

Re: il1k31th0t18 – And i suppose you have proof of this? lmfao. Another desperate Gaga fan. Wait. Gaga is all about love and acceptance. Aren't you monsterturds listening? Or are you as transparent as Gaga's lyrics?

Re: Lady Who? – I agree..it is funny how all of gaga's fans totally miss her message.. she is anti bullying and pro love.. yet all her fans are a bunch of haters talkin down stop shit..very ironic

    Re: xcalibur – #TeenyTinyDickAlert :-)

  13. 13

As a converted Jew, why does she keep wearing a cross??? Why not the Star of David? She just annoys me.

  14. 14

OMG SHE IS NOT A CONVERTED ANYTHING!…anyway, who knows if radio will KEEP playing her, it is sad, agiest&sexiest regarding her age, but it does happen to all aging stars…her tour wil be amazing and MDNA will be number one, her singles though won't chart as well, but thats how it goes….i love madonn still!

  15. 15

Awww are Lady Gaga' fans sad because her last 5 or was it 6 singles never even really saw any radio air play? LMAO… this is called Karma.. they launched a campaign to "help mother monster" by posting numbers to local radio stations encouraging Gaga fans to call the radio and protest them if they played any Madonna music…. how sad. Gaga fans are desperate to keep their mother monster relevant, too bad it didn't work this time.. Paws down you little gremlins.

Re: il1k31th0t18 – before you make such brazen statements.. you should provide some sort of source of proof to back up your allegations.

The song is still horrid !!! Notice how Madonna has to have guest artists now to get a number 1 hit??? Last time it was Justin Timbersuck and Timbaland with that God awful 4 Minutes song. She had no other hits off that shitty album. Same with this album. I bet she won't have another hit from it. UNLESS it's with "hot this moment" guest artists like Nicki Minaj. Madonna will probably never have another number 1 by herself. She used to have good music, now she's just sad. From the 3 songs we've heard from this new album, it sounds like EXTREMELY GENERIC pop/dance music.

    Re: tuckeye
Spare the ageist crap. Radio didn't have a problem playing Cher's song "Believe" when it came out, and she was 52 at the time, and it went on to #1 in multiple countries and became the biggest song of the year. When Madonna puts out a decent song ("Hung Up"), radio will play it, but she has hardly put out anything decent in years.
And I love how everyone mentions Lady GaGa when she's not even mentioned in the story. Shows more of your obsession with her than it does her fans.

  20. 20

Fun fact: Radio stations don't get paid by record reps to play music. That's called Payola, and is illegal (think Dreamgirls). We play the music because believe it or not, it's what the masses want to hear.

Re: Blue_Silver – shit, your mother really did a number on you!! i'm sorry but your comments always make feel sad for you. get some help, asap. if you were any more defensive you would give yourself a seizure. :-(

    Re: FatAzzPooHeadDoodle
Says the little boy with the happy fingers. How many posts is this for you today? Get ready to respond some more, because I'm all about some trash talking today. And what's with your obsession with little dicks? I'm sure every dick to you feels small. Your HIV hole is probably so far stretched out, it's hanging from your ass by a piece of skin like some dingleberry, ole cauliflower ass. And, sorry, but meth mouth has never been a good luck…brush your teeth!

  24. 24

It's called a radio promotion. My artists pay to have their song spun at the top of every hour. Lady GaGa did it with Born This Way, Rihanna with You Da One, and Madonna with this lame ass song.

  25. 25

    Re: KicksOuttaYouB*tches!!! – *MANY ARTISTS

  26. 26

I don't normally listen to the radio, but I'm glad that Madonna's new song is getting some much-deserved spins! Uusally American radio only plays rap/urban music or songs by 12-year olds. It's a great song and video. Can't wait for the remixes!

  27. 27

I just read that MDNA has sold 2 million copies around the world via pre-orders. That is HUGE! A lot of people don't understand that Madonna is GLOBAL. They have this perception that her last album Hard Candy didn't do well, but in reality, world-wide, it was the 11th best-selling album of 2008. Madonna's never made a "bomb" record and this one looks like it's going to be even more successful than Hard Candy.

Also, notice that Madonna isn't selling her album for 99 cents like Gaga did for the first couple of weeks.

  28. 28

Re: lington – You're so right and who the hell listens to the radio anymore anyway? It's all about the digital downloads.

  29. 29

She keeps a youthful appearance, but her career is not aging well. She's gone through a bunch of reinventions, yet she's landed on this; I'm all for women being sexual no matter what their age, but she's doing it in a way that screams she wants to be young again. She should be able to do songs standing on her own instead of using other younger stars to try and "bait" the youth. Her music would probably be better without them. MIA is a good musician (not knocking her); just saying that she deserves more forefront than to be Madonna's cheerleader.

Re: Shaniqua Jones – he made gaga and he can unmake her shes BLOGDEAD …worse than a real death lololol
