Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act, the FBI has just released an investigative report on Apple founder and CEO, Steve Jobs.
The information was gathered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation after Apple received a bomb threat and President George H.W. Bush expressed interest in giving the revolutionary corporate leader a presidential appointment.
Not that we ever had any doubt, but the documents reveal that Steve Jobs was, indeed, a hippie. One person interviewed shared that "Mr. Jobs may have experimented with illegal drugs" during the 60s and 70s, while another stated more clearly:
"Mr. Jobs used illegal drugs, including marijuana and LSD, while they were attending college."
Again, nothing shocking there. However, the report did suggest that Jobs was kind of a pathological liar who genuinely believed every lie he told and had the strange ability to make others believe it too, as the documents read:
"Several individuals questioned Mr. Jobs' honesty stating that Mr. Jobs will twist the truth and distort reality in order to achieve his goals."
The details that really disturb us about Jobs is his disregard for his oldest daughter, Lisa Brennan-Jobs, whom he fathered out of wedlock, but denied his paternity for years. The FBI found he was "not supportive" of the girl's mother, which speaks volumes about his character.
Fortunately, the document continued to report that "recently he has become more supportive." We're glad to hear he finally came around, so hopefully he left a little nugget for Lisa and her mother before he passed away.
What do U think about the FBI's revelations? Does they change your opinion of the man who created the computer/iPod/iPad/iPhone your reading this on right now?
