This Weekend Could See Historic Box Office Numbers!

The Vow. Star Wars. Safe House.

These three movies are on pace to help create history in this weekend's box office after strong midnight showings. Never before has four movies opened at $20 million plus during a "non-holiday weekend." (We guess Valentine's Day doesn't count?)

Star Wars's Episode I 3D re-release and the Channing Tatum, Rachel McAdams starring The Vow are easily favorited to make big bucks. Denzel and RyRy's Safe House also performed unexpectedly well, scoring $530K during its midnight showing Thursday.

What is the fourth movie that could stop or help this feat? Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

So can Dwayne Johnson muscle Journey 2 to $20 million? The movie already has $50 million international so can the trend continue Stateside?

We'll find out on Monday!

    Previous story - comments off.
Yeah, you don't condone violence but when he's a DILF, it's acceptable. Way to stick to your supposed commitment to non-violence. You're phonier than your hairline.

The only movies that are worth watching is that Star Wars movie and Safe house the rest can fuck off.

Another winter of discontent - there are never any good movies until the fall and winter, especially around Christmas. Who wants to see a re-release of Star Wars and pay extra for those 3-D glasses (which by the way you RENT not OWN)?
