This Is Why We Need The Muppets To Perform! Dustin Hoffman Says The Oscars Are Boring!

dustin hoffman says oscars are boring

Ya hear that, Academy? Dustin Hoffman is NOT entertained - let's change that!

During a recent interview, Academy-Award winning actor/Luck star Dustin Hoffman had the following to say about the Oscars:

"It’s boring!"

"It lasts forever, and don’t think you’re seeing spontaneous behavior. You see couples who are suddenly smooching, and, well, there’s a guy sitting on the ground with the camera at their knees."

"There was one particular time I knew I wasn’t going to win, and when they’d train the camera on me as one of the losers, I wanted to be able to rip open my tuxedo shirt and just have stenciled on my chest, oh, shit. But my wife wouldn’t let me do it."

It sounds like Dustin has some bigger issues with the Oscars as a whole, but one thing we COULD do to at least make this year's show a bit more entertaining for him is……

GET THE MUPPETS ON THE OSCARS!!!!!!!

Do the suckers who sign actually think you have any influence in Hollywood? Your only motive is to get more clicks. Nothing else.

We didn't need Dustin to tell us what many of us already knew a long time ago. Like so many aspects of society today we need more innovative thinkers to take the wheel.

The Oscars ARE boring. And this years nominees are particularly poor. No nominations for the 50/50 screenplay or the animated TinTin Adventures? Only two songs and they dont even get played? Come on.

Well, he's seen so many that it's nothing new for him. I guess it's not high on his bucket list anymore as is. Isn't that normal?

For what it's worth, ripping his shirt open to reveal that would have made my day.
I still fondly remember when Billy Joel stopped playing to make a point.
