Oh man. It's TOTALLY going to happen!

We are SO EXCITED!

Earlier in the year, there were rumblings that Tim Burton was interested in directing a sequel to his '80s smash, Beetlejuice, and even asked the scribe on his new flick, Dark Shadows, Seth Grahame-Smith, to start penning a script!

Well, apparently, the writer HAS - and has even gotten Beetlejuice himself, Michael Keaton, ready to reprise the role!

He explains:

"It's a reality in the sense that I met with Michael Keaton last week. We talked for a couple of hours and talked about big picture stuff. It's a priority for Warner Bros. It's a priority for Tim. He's been wanting to do it for 20 years and he'll talk to anybody about it who will listen. I really told him, I have a huge reverence for Tim and a huge reverence for that film in general. I don't think we should do it if we shit on the legacy. He agrees. So, right now, it remains to be seen, I have a couple of story ideas, but we're very early out."

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Now all they have to do is get Winona Ryder on board, and we'd be pleased as punch!

There HAS to be a creative way to incorporate everyone from the original back in somehow, right?

Oh man. Finger's crossed for this!

What do U think?? Are U excited for a possible Beetlejuice 2??

With Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy coming to an end, it would be amazing if Michael Keaton played Batman again in a 3rd Tim Burton "Batman" film. It would be nice to have both series capped off in a trilogy of individual series.

Michael Keaton is soooooooo underrated! He should fire his agent because this man is a brilliant dramatic and comedic actor, yet we never get to see him enough at the theatre or on the small screen. From "Night Shift" to "One Good Cop" to "Mr. Mom" to "Pacific Heights" to "Out of Sight" etc., and can I say. . .the se*xiest batman ever and I'm a HUGE fan of Christian Bale's Batman, but Michael Keaton just has the somethin' extra. I've seen "One Good Cop" a dozen times and he and Rene Russo and those awesome child actors just had major chemistry and it all just worked. Someone needs to get Michael an HBO or Showtime series. I mean, look at Dustin Hoffman's new show! The giants are coming to cable big time. More Michael Keaton please!

In regards to my comment about how Burton and Keaton should do a "Batman 3"… Batman in the comic book masterpiece "The Dark Knight Returns" was in his 60s. An adaption of that story would work well for Keaton. No one would mistake his Batman film for a Nolan Batman film, and I think because of it's artistic differences, it would attract a large audience that grew up with and appreciated the original 2 films. Burton's last film made over a Billion at the box office, and a 3rd Batman film by him could easily reach $500 million worldwide. I think a 3rd Batman film with Keaton and BVurtion needs to be made!
