Jennifer Hudson Breaks Down During Grammy Rehearsal!

| Filed under: Jennifer HudsonWhitney HoustonSad SadGrammys

Jennifer Hudson has the tough task of singing a touching tribute to Whitney Houston at tonight's Grammy Awards show.

She will be singing Whitney's huge hit I Will Always Love You during the "In Memoriam" segment, which is sure to bring the tears in the audience.

In fact, we doubt there will be a dry eye in the house.

During today's rehearsal, Jennifer was "having a hard time" with keeping herself composed while singing the tribute to Whitney.

A Grammy crew member said that she was "crying and had to keep pausing" to collect herself, "especially on the second run-through."

It's going to be SUCH an emotional night, but we're really looking forward to see how all the artists pay tribute to the legendary Whitney tonight.

Oh gosh. That song is the biggest tear-jerker there is. It's very touching. I'm sure it's going to be hard to get through it. God bless Jennifer to be able to get through it at the big moment.

love J Hud but enough about some stupid crack 'ho!, who cares? another person wasting their talent with drugs.

    drugs are bad, mmmkay?

If Hudson was any kind of professional, she'd step down. This tribute isn't even going to be about Whitney. It's going to be all about poor, poor Jennifer Hudson. People felt sorry for her on Idol. People felt sorry for her when she felt she had to lose weight. People felt sorry for her when her mom and brother passed away. Now people are going to feel sorry for her because she has to make it through this performance. Her entire career is based on the pity vote.

Re: ceeeee – See??? "God bless Jennifer…" Ugh.

Re: LaughingOutLoud1 – Ha. I see what you're saying. But I don't feel pity for her personally, I just think it would be hard to get up there and sing that song, no matter who had to do it. Granted it would not be hard for someone who was not as close to her, verses a close family member or friend to hold it together, but still…it's such an emotional song in the first place and then thinking about the sadness of it, I would think anyone would need some help up there to be able to do it, and on a big night like the Grammys, that's all.

They should have asked Dolly Parton to sing it since it was originally her song and she loved Whitney

Wow, people are SO hypocritical! If everyone cared as Much as they say they do then why didn't anyone close to her help her? Why didn't they do an intervention? Why didn't they watch her more? If she was so great then why did everyone ridicule her? Realistically, she died in 1992, she was no good after her movie & became a has been. She ruined her life & died a long time ago. I'm sorry for her family, no doubt they are mourning.

If that was the song that wanted to remember Whitney with, than Dolly should have sung it
Dolly wrote and recorded the song, and was a huge hit, something that MS Houston forgot all about
Whitney truly believed it was her song

Jennifer will be strong tonight….i am sure of it !!! The girl has already been through her own personal version of hell in her young life…she will rely on that strength to get her through this most difficult situation and come out shining just like her idol would expect from her. Go Jennifer..I'm not a fan just a very human being pulling for you on this toughest of assignments.
