Whitney Houston's Funeral Arrangements Cause Some Family Drama
We're sorry to hear that this was a source of contention in Whitney's family.
Yesterday, we heard reports that Whitney Houston will be laid to rest later this week at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ…where she was born.
Now, we've learned that these funeral plans caused some drama in her family, because Whitney's mother Cissy Houston and her cousin Dionne Warwick both wanted her to be buried in Atlanta.
They believe she had the fondest memories there…but the rest of Whitney's family wants her buried in Newark, and we're hearing that the burial WILL still take place in NJ.
We just hope that this conflict over the burial doesn't cause TOO many ill feelings in Whitney's family. This is already a difficult enough time for them.

Uh… the family always said they were flying her body to ATL right after she died… Where did you get the NJ story from? Yes she was from NJ but they all moved to ATL where they lived many years.
There's always conflict around funerals. Alaways some family drama. If this is as bad as it gets, they're lucky. Plus, I don't believe it. I can see Bobby Brown wanting her to be in ATL. I can see her daughter agreeing to that since ATL was home. But I can also see her mother and her family wanting to bring her "home" to NJ. Whatever. Glad she'll be in NJ. R.I.P. Whitney.
