Janet Jackson Comments On Whitney's Death

| Filed under: Janet JacksonMichael JacksonAnderson CooperWhitney HoustonSad Sad

Janet Jackson has also lost someone close to her but she admits…this is different for Bobbi Kristina and losing a mother.

The singer spoke with Anderson Cooper about her fellow superstar, Whitney Houston's death. After Michael Jackson's death, she's still learning life lessons but she still can believe Whitney is gone.

She comments on hearing the tragic news Saturday:

I couldn't believe it. Immediately I started shaking. I was trying to text everyone that I knew to let them know and I was speechless. I could not believe it … I still can't believe it when I hear them playing tribute to her on the radio. It's still such a shock to me. I don't want to believe it.

But the one person she's feeling pain for the most is Whitney's young daughter.

Janet states that there isn't a day that she doesn't think about MJ, so she knows how tough it must be for Bobbi Kristina.

So compassionate!

Check out her interview with Anderson above to hear her heartfelt condolences.

Of course she did, Why wouldn't she. Who's next to come out of the woodwork.

Janet looks like shit. What did she do to her cheeks? I know she always had large cheekbones but not like that? She looks like she has been hanging out with Madonna too much. Lay off the filler Janet!

Janet Jackso will do anything to promote her new book & her diet scam, even trying to profiteer off Whitney's death…

Janet Jackson is as pathetic as they come….

Janet looks beautiful and its so nice and interesting to hear her thoughts on Whitney….since they both became popular at the same time and were competing in the same categories at all the award show in the late 80s and 90s. At the time I saw them as rivals…..and now I see that they were friends and supported each other. I'm glad Anderson had her on his show and asked about Whitney.

Why are any of these people surprised that Whitney Houston died relatively young?

Janet says Whitney was known as "the voice"? Really? I thought that was the name of the reality show? Whitney was an amazing singer but she was not known as "the voice". Just rehearsed lines she had someone prepare for her before she went on the show.

Just saying it's a stupid line for her to make that claim.

Re: JennyJJJ – Oprah said that too when she interviewed Whitney. "You were known as THE voice" (referencing when Whitney was in her prime). So I guess it might have been true. I was too young to have heard that about her though.

@jennyjjj actually she was known as The Voice. It was a common name they would call her.

@ hoopshit,@Okra…,@Jenny JJJ - y'all are straight up mentally deficient and exhausting. In this day and age, folks still can't understand plain old American English, in order to properly discern a dialogue exchange on a TV show. If you intelligently "watch" the video, you'll see that Anderson inquired of Janet, about Whitney; and she replied. Its not her being a guest Anderson to solely speak about Whitney. That was a small segment or clip rather, of an entire 54 minute episode, that will probably focus on Janet, respectfully. Additionally, Janet and Whit were FRIENDS, in addition to Whit being close to the ENTIRE Jackson family, pre-fame. Wouldn't you have a comment about ur LONGTIME friend if they passed away and someone asked you a question about it. Slap yourself, each of u…and before you make fraudulent comments, make sure its actually relevant. Its people like you who makes the world a much funkier place. %)

Re: JennyJJJ – Once again, simpleton…lets talk facts, not fantasy-driven banter based on something that is the exact opposite of BASIC logic. Janet has been on TV since she was 6 years old. That means there is 39 years of available footage and photography that CLEARLY shows that Janet, like many of her siblings and parents, had strong, highly defined cheek bones in addition to other defined features, not given by a Surgeon. One other point, I don't know if you know, but many African-Americans have high cheek bones. It's not just a trait found in folks with Native and Central American, Asian, Middle Eastern and;or Mediterranean decent. (Sorry if I left anyone out) While the Jackson's have all had their share of plastic surgery, some more than others, the one primary area of change was their noses…to which MJ and JJ admitted too. If u LOOK at photos of her throughout the ages, you'll see that not much has changed….actually, I'd dare to say that her nose is the only thing, on her face, to have ever been touched. I have a great disdain for folks who enjoy spreading information based on unsupported, malicious and incredulous facts, to which they have no knowledge of themselves, and especially when there is evidence available to suggest otherwise. I know if it were you Jenny, you wouldn't want someone to do those things to you… Slap urself…Do unto others, right?! %) #Grow-up
