After quite a while without any updates, we're excited to hear that the Turtles are still coming back…but we are NOT feeling this director choice!
We've just learned that Battle: Los Angeles director Jonathan Liebesman is in negotiations to direct Paramount's upcoming live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot…and we're not so sure he's the right guy for the job.
It's nothing personal at all, but the guy's directing track record includes Darkness Falls and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Unless they're looking to delve into VERY dark territory with this Turtles movie, he just doesn't seem to fit the bill.
Here are the other details that have been revealed on the TMNT reboot thus far:
- Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form will be producing the movie for Platinum Dunes
- Alias writers Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec wrote the script
- The Turtles will no longer be teenagers - Now they're called 'Ninja Turtles In Their Early Twenties' (JK!)
We're definitely glad that a new generation of kids will be introduced to Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. We just hope they do the original movies justice! They were cheesy - but lots of fun!
What do U think? Are U feeling good about this TMNT reboot???
