To recap - Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito served four years in an Italian prison after being sentenced for the murder of Amanda's roommate Meredith Kercher.
Back in December, an Italian appeals court made the disturbing announcement that Amanda and Raffaele's murder convictions had been overturned because there was never "any reliable evidence" to link the two to the murder.
Then yesterday, a spokeswoman for HarperCollins publishing house announced that Amanda had sold her memoir to them…and we were hearing that the book deal would likely be somewhere in the one-million-dollar-range.
Now, we've learned that Amanda's book has sold to HarperCollins for nearly $4 million!!!
Here's what HarperCollins' Jonathan Burnham had to say about it:
"It is a story that everyone else seems to have told except for the person at the center of it all."
"There has been plenty of rumor and conjecture about her personality, the role she played in events, and speculation about what happened. This book will tell the full story from her point of view for the very first time, and it will be told in her own words."
We still can't get over the fact that she's getting $4 mil for this! We understand the pain of four years in jail must be REALLY strong…but at least she's going to be able to live VERY well from here on out…
What do U think? Is Amanda's story worth $4 million???
