Former Scientology Exec Testifies Against The Church's Leadership!

former scientology exec testifies against church leadership

This is truly disturbing.

Last month, we got a hold of a lengthy email that former Church of Scientology executive Debbie Cook sent out to 12,000 church members on New Year's, in which she blasted their leader David Miscavige (above).

Now, Debbie has appeared in court to testify against Miscavige. Here are some highlights from testimony:

- She was 'beaten and tortured and locked up for 45 days in an ant-infested desert compound trailer'
- Miscavige punched another senior exec in the fast and 'wrestled him to the ground'
- Miscavige 'ordered his secretary to slap' Debbie Cook
- A senior member was 'made to lick a dirty floor for half an hour'

And here's more from Debbie about the location in which she was imprisoned by Scientology's leadership:

"The place was infested by ants, so ants would crawl on you, and there was a two-week period when the electricity had been shut off, as ordered by Mr Miscavige. This was of course in summer in the desert so the temperature was about 106F."

Ugh. We can only hope that Debbie's testimony will spur a larger investigation into the Church of Scientology's leadership. This is not the first time we've heard terrifying reports like this one.

Awful.

dumbass couldn't write decent scifi, sure as fuck isn't/wasn't a religious leader. LRH and all of his followers are worthless.

Guys, really? You're going to accept her accusations as truth? C'mon, you left out the fact that she's liable for breach of contract and facing 100's of thousands of dollars in penalties from the court, so of course she's going to say anything to get herself out of having to pay.

  3. 3

Debbie Cook is not a believable witness - her story keeps on changing. First, she pretends that she's all about church reform, then as a response to the backlash, she says the there are nice people in the church. Now she's sayiing she was abused; which is totally different from what she was doing in that video in 2007 when she leaves the church. This story has blown way out of proportion, and she's getting too much attention for concocted allegations.

There have been repeated testimonies from long term former International Scientology executives of both physical and mental abuse inflicted by David Miscavige. A simple look on the internet will show detailed specifics provided by Amy Scobee (author of the book SCIENTOLOGY - ABUSE AT THE TOP), Jeff Hawkins (author of the book COUNTERFEIT DREAMS), Marc Headley (author of the book BLOWN FOR GOOD), Claire Headley, Tom DeVocht, John Brousseau, Marty Rathbun, Gary Morehead, Mike Rinder, Steve Hall, Mark Fisher, Bruce Hines and so many others… and now Debbie Cook comes forward after being sued to keep her mouth shut about what she witnessed and experienced first hand. So "chumaka" or "winnieperot", it is very irresponsible for you to come to Scientology's defense and assume Debbie's lying under oath. Too many others have confirmed the severe abuse and violation of human rights going on at the Hemet compound.

Isn't it funny that posters accuse Debbie of lying under oath and blithely committing perjury, while at the same time, giving a complete free pass to David Miscavige who doesn't present any side at all, at certainly doesn't have the cojones to appear in open court?

The dramarama know known as Debbie Cook. Ugh! Puhleez stop posting like you believe this mess. Ms. Cook found nothing wrong with the accommodations when she was being paid by the church. Now that her cash has run out she has jumped on the bandwagon with an identical claim that she herself would've said was nonsense when she was employed. The compound she was staying at was gorgeous. Rolling greens in the middle of the California desert. Um, yes there are ants in the desert in the summertime, I'm sure she would've complained of exposure to toxic chemicals or animal abuse if they would've gotten rid of them. I had an ant crawl up my arm at work the other day, I think I'll sue my boss. The electricity being turned off in the desert is also pretty common. They often do it to prevent rolling blackouts, so no one dies when the temp rises to 115.

Mind you, she's tryna bring this all up after she was hit with a huge law suit. If she had this beef before getting hit with the lawsuite, she woulda mentioned it in her email. She's just trying to get out of the corner she backed herself into by making these outrageous claims. Lol..licking the floor for half an hour? lol..wow. Nice try. Any one else notice how beat to hell she be lookin? She might just be tryna cop some dough for a facelift cuz goodness knows she need it.

In case you're not aware, the people saying that Debbie Cook is not a credible witness, etc. are just doing the job they were hired to do by the Church of Scientology. They work for the Office of Special Affairs. OSA is the intelligence branch of the "religion" that hires private investigators to harass and intimidate the people who speak out against them. OSA also handles church PR and has its "parishioners" comment on internet articles that expose the abuses of the church. Lying about these things is part of the church doctrine created by L. Ron Hubbard. Lying is ok as long as it is in the name of protecting the church or serves the "greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics". Average Scientologists are discouraged from reading any "entheta" or negative media about the church as they are told it halts their spiritual progress. The same OSA worker will often comment on the same article with many different usernames to create an appearance of widespread positive goodwill towards Scientology among the general public. This could not be further from the truth.

"Mind you, she's tryna bring this all up after she was hit with a huge law suit. If she had this beef before getting hit with the lawsuite, she woulda mentioned it in her email."

Ms. Cook didn't mention the abuses because she still believes in Scientology and did not want to bring negative attention to it.

"She's just trying to get out of the corner she backed herself into by making these outrageous claims."

She made the claims in court after being sued by the Church of Scientology for writing an email to her Scientologist friends. The email pointed out discrepancies between what David Miscavige has done with the church and what L. Ron Hubbard wrote with regards to the church.

"Lol..licking the floor for half an hour? lol..wow. Nice try."

Physical and psychological abuse is funny?

"Any one else notice how beat to hell she be lookin? She might just be tryna cop some dough for a facelift cuz goodness knows she need it."

Again, the church sued her, not the other way around. She's not asking for money and her appearance doesn't have any relevance to this case.

Re: WinniePerot – "Debbie Cook is not a believable witness - her story keeps on changing. First, she pretends that she's all about church reform, then as a response to the backlash, she says the there are nice people in the church. Now she's sayiing she was abused;"

There are things she wants to reform in the church, there are nice people in the church, and she was abused. Those are not mutually exclusive and nothing about her story has changed.

"which is totally different from what she was doing in that video in 2007 when she leaves the church."

The video of Ms. Cook signing a contract with Church Attorney Elliot Abelson upon leaving the Sea Organization shows a woman who will do and say anything to get away from an abusive organization.

"This story has blown way out of proportion, and she's getting too much attention for concocted allegations."

That's an opinion, but there has been very little mainstream media coverage of this story. I don't think it's getting the attention it deserves.

    Re: KissyFaces

Just because Ms. Cook didn't speak out at the time doesn't mean she didn't have problems. Speaking out would mean being declared a "Suppressive Person" by the church. This essentially means that any Scientologist in her life would no longer be able to have any contact with her. This includes her and her husband's friends, family, and business associates. This policy is similar to the excommunication practiced by many destructive cults.

"Now that her cash has run out she has jumped on the bandwagon with an identical claim that she herself would've said was nonsense when she was employed."

Don't put words in her mouth and make assumptions.

    Re: KissyFaces

"The compound she was staying at was gorgeous. Rolling greens in the middle of the California desert."

I agree that Int Base is aesthetically pleasing, but she was locked in a double wide trailer there with bars on the window and security guards preventing her exit. She slept on the floor. It might be hard to appreciate its beauty under those conditions.

"Um, yes there are ants in the desert in the summertime, I'm sure she would've complained of exposure to toxic chemicals or animal abuse if they would've gotten rid of them. I had an ant crawl up my arm at work the other day, I think I'll sue my boss."

    More assumptions.

"The electricity being turned off in the desert is also pretty common. They often do it to prevent rolling blackouts, so no one dies when the temp rises to 115."

    For weeks at a time?

  13. 13

Even if were proved that this woman is telling the truth, nothing will come of it. Scientology gets away with all the crap they pull. They have more lawyers than members. How did this organization ever gain tax exempt status as a religion? Whatever it is, it's not a religion in any traditional sense.

Wow, look at all the sudden new posters. :roll.

INVESTIGATE SCIENTOLOGYS PRIVATE GOLD MINES. This is important because someone has caught them trucking ore to the mill from their property. Does OSHA even know about it? Are they listener? Even if they are licensed, they have high grade explosives, that I bet they are hoarding; and only saying they using it for the mine. This is some serious business. They have already VERY PUBLICLY demonstrated they will stalk or harm any protester. That really means they will stalk Americans who protest them. That is called organized terrorism on home soil. If they have a private gold mine, then they have high explosives. Call Homeland Security, they JUST LOVE this sort of thing. My other question is why do they have a propane tank they size used to service an entire county? If you watch Angry Gay Popes recent videos of Hemet, you will see this giant tanks they are hoarding. This si concerning.

    BooHoo - poor Debbie Cook.
So you got slapped - isn't that what the doctor did to help you live as a baby?
So you were made to stand in a garbage pail for 12 hours while you were yelled at and water was poured over your head. First you complain about no air conditioning and now you complain about efforts to cool you off.
So one of your co-workers was made to lick the bathroom floor clean! First you complain about having to sleep on an ant infested floor and now you complain about efforts to clean up the place.
First you complain that 2 big thugs came through your window to take you to "The Hole" and now you are complaining about your windows being barred and a security officer standing at the door 24/7 to protect you.
Of course our great religious leader, David Miscavige had your finger bent back and ordered it broken if you did not answer his question. This only proves you had a history of not telling the truth.
Finally, we only hunted you down and brought you back from South Carolina and gave you free room and board at our Clearwater compound because you some how left without us being able to show our appreciation for your decades of service.
Now you have broken your silence and forced us to sue you for hundreds of thousands of dollars while we destroy your business - all so you can use this for your personal gain.
Give it up Debbie. The world can see right through your LIES!

Poor Debbie! Raised in that horrible place since she was only young, barely started enjoying the real world and already those Scientology bullies are attacking her! Did you see the videos of the court testimonies? Those slick Scientology spokespeople were just lying through their teeth, denying everything like they always do, but Debbie was so sincere! There are now thousands of testimonies on the Internet and hundreds and hundreds of videos of abuse by Scientology. When will someone stop the Scientology abuses?
